Sacrificing call quality for sound and price

    Posted .

These sound great. They block out noise with the shape of the earbuds (tip: use the largest earbud rubber that comes with it for best noise blockage), and the bass is pretty good. It's not very good for calls, though, as the mic is in the neckband, so it picks up movement of your body/clothes, but it doesn't bother me (or the person I'm on the phone with) enough to return them. I think even if I were to get something similar for more money, I would likely still have some sort of complaint, be it the sound quality, or the phone call capabilities (in fact, I did return a more expensive, $150 LG headset for not being able to block out noise). Price doesn't always make a difference other than the size of the dent in your wallet!

I bought these to replace my LG tone’s that went out. I’ve been a Sony fan for a long long time, however these fall short of my expectations. The battery life is fantastic and they sound good, BUT there is no place to store the earbuds when not in use, they just dangle down, which isn’t necessarily a huge deal except when you hit the earbud on anything and the rubber sealing insert falls off. Like I stated earlier the battery life is good but it doesn’t give you any warning when the battery is low, “just battery low charge now” and then shuts off. You can’t use it for handsfree phone calls either, the microphone picks up absolutely everything in a 1/4 mile radius except your voice. Even when listening to voicemails, you can hear noises around you amplified by the microphone.

I have a puppy who seems to be magnetically drawn to earbuds as a chew toy, so I go through a lot of them. Eventually I think I’ll find the perfect set, and keep them in a steel box, but these aren’t worthy. I let the salesperson talk me into these Sony’s based on a couple things, and I wish I hadn’t. My main criteria for a decent pair of behind-the-neck earbuds is as follows: Wearability - I wear them all day, so I don’t want them to get in the way. I also prefer they not slip around my neck so I don’t have to readjust them while I’m running. These are bulkier than I’m used to, but ultimately not too annoying. The plastic is relatively smooth and they can slip at times, but it’s not a huge problem. B- Sound quality - The sound quality is decent. I’ve had better, and I’ve had worse. Music is clear coming through the earbuds, but they’re not the best for blocking outside noise. B- Connection - By far the worst set I’ve had as far as losing the connection. Sometimes I’ll lose connection several times over a 10 minute period, and sometimes it will go for an hour. Incredibly inconsistent. F. Range - Fantastic range when it is connected. On several occasions I have accidentally left my phone in my car and gone inside my house or left it in the basement while going to the 3rd floor without losing connection. Which makes the times I do lose it with my phone 30 inches away even more bizarre. A. Battery Life - This was the reason I bought these earbuds. I need them to last for 8 hours, and they do, it which is great, but with an extremely annoying flaw. If I charge them until right before I use them they’re good to go for a long time. If I charge them until they’re full and use them a day later, they won’t turn on. They discharge constantly. I don’t know if I bought a lemon or what the deal is, but it’s very frustrating. F.

I bought these for my girlfriend. Her last pair lasted her years with almost every day use at work. She said they are very comfortable, sound great, and since they go around your neck not easy to lose like individual wireless ear buds.

I purchased these today and I am returning today. They sound great for music only. However if you intend to use these for hands-free don't!!!! The notice from the other ear bud will drive you crazy. It picks up the sound of it rubbing against your collar. The ear buds just hang with no slot to put the in when.

Sound is ok. The mic will pick up all sounds around you especially if your cloths rubs against the plastic at all which is annoying. People I phone call with have a hard time hearing me. Range on it is good. Battery life is amazing. I am having a hard time finding ear buds that had long battery life, good sound quality and good phone call experiences. If you are just looking for a cheap pair of ear buds that last a long time and will get the job done for listening to music then these will work for you.

These headphones were a big disappointment . They were comfortable and light weight. Unfortunately coming from the LG Tone plus, it was rather annoying that the headphones are all over the place. The sound quality wasn't bad for listening to, but I would receive many complaints on the receiving end that they could barley hear me during a phone call. I am returning these headphones because they keep disconnecting during my workout. I even went to the gym twice to make sure that they were fully charged and the same problem. Nothing more nerve racking than during a workout , your headphones decide to disconnect . I would not use these if your working out or if you happen to call people often. I am truly disappointed in this Sony product but grateful that best buy offers a return policy.

Not even close to the LG brand

I ONLY bought these because my LG went out and they no longer off warranty plans or else I would have stuck with my LG. This Sony one is alright and that's stretching it. The battery is about the only good thing. This headset doesn't have a place for the ear buds when not in use, the LG was magnetic in storage so they stayed out of the way. This device picks up EVERY back ground noise possible, the LG had a crystal clear connection to where you only heard the person on the other end and not what they were doing. This headset doesn't have the neck vibration to let you know if you have walked away from the headset , the LG did and that was important as we all know because I have left my phone on the charger at home before and before I pulled out the drive way, the LG alerted that I was away from the device. This device doesn't alert if you have a text message, the LG let you know you had a text vs a call by vibrating 1 time. I can go on an on about this device but you get the idea of how this device falls way short on expectations after happily using the LG!!
