Less quality than expected for the brand/price

I was trying to exchange a similar body style pair of noise cancelling Insignia buds that died on one side and I went with these because they were comparable in price (even though they are not a noise cancelling model).every easy to connect to my phone via Bluetooth. However, every call I took, people commented on the bad sound quality. I couldn't be heard well on any of the calls I took and there was crackling during the calls as well. Every time I moved I could hear the plastic touching my clothes, hair, etc in the earbuds. The earbuds do not retract. While listening to music was also hoping for it to be a bit louder. I used them a few hours and took them back later the same day. Very disappointed in the quality for the price and from Sony.
