This is a great radio for listening to music. Great purchase for the price.

The Sony CD Boombox radio does not not work very well unless is placed next or very closed to a glass window for the radio frequency reception otherwise very poor sound. I placed mine on the kitchen counter, away from the window, the sound was crackling on lower volume, poor speaker sound. It was OK, nothing especial. I am thinking of return or exchange for something else. This Sony CD Boombox radio priced higher than other brands: Insignia, Toshiba, Crosley, but performed poorly. Sony products are usually good quality and performs well, but with this CD Boombox radio, I am disappointed.

I bought both the Insignia and Sony boom boxes. The Sony has a more clear sound but is more expensive

Great boombox to take to the lake cabin! Price was reasonable.

I take it outside along with a big Martini and listen to one of my DVD concerts; of which I have many. It gets me out of the house during these quarantine times. My new neighbors that just moved here from Nebraska told me when they hear my music they grab a libation and sit by their pool and listen; so they enjoy it also.

Bought for work. Works well. Like being able to connect my Bluetooth or plug in my USB drive to hear whatever I want.

First of all, there are very few good boomboxes available, not like ten years ago when there were outstanding boxes. This Sony box has average volume. I use it in my RV and set it next to the door when I'm sitting outside. So if you're 10 feet away, the volume is OK, otherwise it doesn't meet the need. Have had it a month and it just started playing CDs part way through, then it stops. This happens with about every third CD. No dust or scratches on the CDs. This is just an average, run of the mill box that I wish I hadn't bought. But it was the best of 3 I tried and that's not saying much.

As advertised. Sounds great in small areas. Wish there were EQ settings though.

This is a wonderful portable CD player for those of us who still use our valuable CD collection. Great Sound!!

Reception and sound is good. Easy to move around for my wife as she goes from room to room, etc.
