It’s ok. No problems yet. I’m bracing myself though, after reading the other reviews. I was expecting more volume and bass. It leaves you wanting more for the the price .

I looked all over, for a good player and I found it.

The reviews are good, that is why I bought it but the sound is OK. It will be OK for what I am using it for.

We purchased a Sony boombox expressly to play CDs. The unit works great for radio but the CD just stopped working. It worked for a week and then worked on and off, and now three weeks later doesn't even spin. I really did expect better from Sony and thought I was getting a good deal. NO.

The sound is OK if you want to listen to radio or CD, but if you connect to internet through blootooth, the sound is very quiet (worse that from my smartphone), so this device is far below expectations...

Works great and of good quality. The fit was good.

Bought this last Dec. By summer, it was malfunctioning. Would stop after only playing 2 or 3 tracks. The CD's were good - like new. Tried cleaning - didn't help. Bought SONY b/c I thought it was quality, would last. This is a piece of junk.

It's smaller than it looks in picture, Also, it's not as loud as I hoped at max volume.

This is an average sounding boombox. Speakers are okay. It is nice that it has WiFi. Some of the buttons are a little clumsy to work. We have it out by our pool for some music so it serves its purpose.

This is about my 5th boom-box but they never last. Bought from Best Buy with the extended warranty but still cost about $20 to replace because you have to buy the insurance every time to have it covered again.

I saw Bluetooth and thought, "awesome" I have a great pair of Sony BT headphones MDR-XB9501B1 I can use with this radio and not disturb others. Only problem is the BT on this radio is RECEIVE only. Meaning you can stream music from your phone or DAP player INTO this radio ONLY. MAJOR BUMMER. Also only three (3) radio pre-set buttons. Really only 3 presets? I think the Sony engineers designed this "boombox" to be a fancy speaker to play music off your phone and not a classic boombox to play radio stations.

The radio has some great features, my issue is with the speaker quality, it has two speakers which are not very good, but for $100 it’s what you would expect.

I bought it specifically because my current radio which is old didn't have good radio reception at my work. This one is really no better. I do like that I can download all my cds and play those.
