This is an update of an earlier review in which I reported that this boombox played some CDs about half way through, then stopped. Well, it now won't play any CD at all. Lots of complaints online about this piece of crap. Would not recommend this to anyone, including my enemies.

am&fm reception is very bad with this radio and the bluetooth fades in and out even near the radio&the cd player did not read the compact disc correctly. the radio was returned because of the defects in the radio,cd & bluetooth.avoid this radio if possible.

I bought this for the radio mostly, but it wouldn’t even pick up the stations well enough to hear them. The speakers were very disappointing too. Not at all like the previous Sony Boom Box we used to have. It might meet your needs if you want to play CDs. Ended up returning the product.

I returned this because FM reception even in mono mode was fuzzy in the rural area where I live.

Really didn't expect this from Sony, but understand it happens. Unfortunately, the primary reason we purchased this unit was for the radio and bluetooth combination ..... and the radio tuner does not work at all. Will take the opportunity to look at other models and manufacturers before simply choosing a Sony again.

this is a very well made product but lacked a key feature that I required. it doesn't seem to have the ability for continuous play from USB. As I said good unit, just not for my purposes.

This was recommended by employee at store. We got this to be able to play cd's and listen to ballgames in the shop. Disappointed as it doesn't have a clock which we thought it did.

Its an okay boombox, not much boom..Not the Sony quality i'm use to..

Unit had nice wireless connectivity features. But was missing a big feature of a 5v power supply on its USB port. Cannot run portable drives from it or charge phones.

We have to face facts. At a certain price point we don't get everything we hope for sometimes. Such is the case with the SONY Boom Box. I'm a big fan of SONY products, so our inclination was to purchase this for radio listening primarily. Unfortunately, the reception ability wasn't great and we could never hone in on the stations we wanted. It went back to the store. However, for just playing CD's, podcasts and stuff off your devices, it would probably suffice. But we'll still always consider SONY products. One little hiccup.

It seems to be what I wanted, except I have to remember a certain way to remove the usb which is a hassle, other devices allow you to just remove you usb without problems

This was ok. USed it in a car and didn't skip. Seems stable. Just didn't have greatest bass and/or sound quality.

Too complicated to operate! Sound not very good, one we got from Walmart had better sound!

Liked the boom box but the only issue I had with it is that the controls don’t light up. Makes it difficult to use at night.

Good system, not sure about how I will use USB, and phone usage. I have many CD's and will use AM,FM. Should be OK.

Do not buy this product. It’s not loud at all, don’t waste your money in this

Disappointed with this purchase - sound is poor - speakers ?????

I like the fact that you can connect to this via bluetooth. The base boost has almost no effect. Disappointing.

I looked forward to having a stereo radio for my living room, but it was not to be. No matter if it was plugged in or running on batteries, all I got was pure static, not an inkling of a radio station. I tried to return it but it was past BB's 15 day return policy (which is a very short time, I think). They said I had to return it to Sony.

It was not as simple as it should have been to pair up the Bluetooth on my phone, and the speakers aren't great, but for the money, I guess it's ok
