CD player doesn’t work. Only three station presets available. Tuning is not good. Lots if static. I only kept it because I have a back injury. Looking for another but it seems like finding a quality radio and CD player is going to be hard. Very disappointing.

The Boombox plays CD's great! Good sound, easy to use, compact size.

good brand but volume was not good enough maybe speakers were to small for what i expected

The CD player part only lasts 2 tears before malfunctioning. But little else is available.

Returned it sound very disappointed. Sony let me down this time.

Doesn’t get very loud, and kind of annoying that it needs to be plugged in or have 9 batteries(d cell?) to work.

When I went to buy a Sony CD player I asked 2 times if it would work with my Altec speaker (also from Best Buy) and was told yes. When I got home I can not get them to sync - the Sony CD player keeps saying "no Bluetooth" - the sales guy was awesome but I doubt Best Buy would allow me to take the speaker and CD player in so he could show me what I'm doing wrong to not get it to sync.

After less than two months of purchasing this it stopped played cd's and the radio isn't working.

Have replaced it twice in a month. Both units stopped playing CD's after a week. Sony used to be reliable. Not anymore. Junk.

one-touch to go from OFF to ON for one of the 3 FM presets; convenient. The display isn't back-lit, so hard to read the data in a darker environment, I have to use a flashlight. Sound quality is adequate (it ain't no Bose Waverunner). Playing of CDs is efficient.

Just go with a Bluetooth speaker for much better quality and sound. Disappointed in Sony on this one.

Terrible sound for the price! I bought the Sony one thinking the sound quality would be better than the 40 dollar CD boombox... Disappointing to say the least.

I purchased this after reading several reviews online. Getting your phone to pair with it is so easy on Android just tap the NFC icon on your phone then just literally tap the phone onto the top left corner of the boombox-it's that easy! The radio reception is really good but I did have to read over the instructions to fix the stations in memory. For some reason after having it "auto" scan for stations to store in memory, some of them would be one off for example the radio would store 95.5FM when the stations actual frequency is 95.7FM. I had to go thru and re-store the stations on the correct frequency. Not a huge deal. Another good feature is you don't always have to use the power button, if you push one of the function buttons the unit will power on and go to that function (CD, Bluetooth, etc) The speakers are really powerful for their size and the bass is deep using Sony's " mega bass" button. There is no other way to adjust the audio settings such as treble all you get is mega bass on or off but it sounds good on. I have listened to several differnet types of music as well as a podcast and all sound good. Perfect size and sound for my apartment as I have no place for a shelf system and even then I cant use it to its potential because the neighbors would complain so this boombox is perfect for people in apartments! My one grip is the LCD display on the front of the unit. It is NOT back lit and when the unit is powered off, it says "STANDBY" Come on, Sony! You could have at least included the TIME to display on it when the unit is powered off or just have the display blank. The "STANDBY" on the display is kind of annoying.

surprised that the first one I bought was defective. had no problem getting it replaced after only 1 week.

Ordered online, was very surprised at the low quality sound, for the $100 price. Has a cheap plastic-y look and feel to it.

Unfortunately I owned the sony xplod boombox and that one for near the same price was a better quality boombox. This one was a complete disappointment. I truly didn't want to give it a 1 star but it asked for it. The true rating would be 0

It would not pick up any local radio stations! You could scan and nothing. This radio was outside on our patio.

All control buttons are black and difficult to see. Also can't adjust station location easily

I like the size and the price was good. However, I am still having problems getting stations to come in clearly. I adjust the antenna but still get fade in and out on a lot stations. I haven't used it outside as I wanted it mainly for use in my kitchen area. CD's work fine.
