I should have THOROUGHLY read through the FAQs, specifically those on Bluetooth. I kid you not when I say the huge Jeff-owned company deleted my acccount out of nowhere after 19 years (oddly, after I was reviewing conservative books - with nothing included in the reviews against guidelines??). So I lost 800 Kindle books and over 80 audiobooks, I then decided from now on, I should just stick to physical audiobooks. No problem, right? Just find and buy a CD player that plays both audio CDs and MP3 CDs (mainly for the audiobooks)! AND, that I can connect with BT headphones as my kids don’t need to hear some of Mom’s books ;) Ha! Easier said than done since cloud and e-products are apparently what 99.9% of the customers want (warn you, though - I’m not the only one that got the boot - it’s happening to other long-time customers, too, I’ve read). Well, I can verify this unit works with MP3, but it does NOT connect with BT out on headphones or a peripheral speaker. The BT is only for receiving. I had no problem with that at all, connected phone and tablets easily. But, I wanted to try to let anyone else looking for that ability know it won’t be with this “boombox”.

Received today - much faster ship than Amazon. Comparable price. This unit has some great reviews. I like it a lot and it sounds great. The reception on the radio could be better but overall pretty impressive. Nice compact size with small footprint and lightweight. Attractive. This is a replacement for my 25 year old Sony boombox and I'm not at all sorry that I stuck with Sony.

This boombox has good sound and is generally easy to use, but there is a very annoying 5-second delay after you turn it on until you hear anything. This is true for the radio and the CD player; I haven't tried it for other inputs. Five seconds may not sound like much, but it is, in this context. What's going on inside -- are vacuum tubes warming up?

Bad quality, horrible customer support. Beware!!! I liked this player, the sound, the portability. Then the CD player stopped working after less than two months of casual use. Called customer support, they offered to send a replacement but first I had to carefully pack the old one and return it. I had to buy a box and packing material, they paid postage, I returned the unit. Received the replacement a week and a half later. Boombox was mailed to me with no special packaging, just store shelf box. It was crushed on one side. I called them and asked them to kindly send a replacement, properly packaged. They refused. I asked for a refund, they refused. They told me to open it and see if it works. I told them that it was obviously smashed during shipping. This music player is built with thousands of intricate running parts. I would never buy one that looked like this, knowing that it's been banged up. So now I have to take a photo of the packaging, a photo of the player, send it to them and they'll decide what they'll do. This is just so ridiculous! I am utterly disappointed in Sony support (actually, lack of support). When choosing a product, quality is just as important as customer support. Obviously, Sony fails in both regards. In the future, when we're buying our next electronic product, the Sony brand will be disregarded immediately.

I bought this item to replace a similar SONY radio/CD that my husband uses in the kitchen. This device has a 12 x 8" footprint which makes it rather large for the kitchen counter. It has an LCD digital display which is more difficult to see than an LED display. The buttons are labelled in light grey, making them difficult to read. There is no external wire antenna for the FM radio, and I'm not sure if he will get good reception in the kitchen. Nonetheless this SONY model currently appears to be the best deal for a radio/CD player. Clearly the world (most folks besides my husband) is moving away from CDs to streaming music. If you don't need the CD feature you probably will find more choices and better prices with a streaming radio.

I wanted an inexpensive radio for a work-out space in the garage. This purchase has fit the bill to a T. The reception on both bands AM and FM, are good. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it.

I was looking for a way to listen to my favorite music while scrolling on my phone at the same time or playing games. Since my phone doesn't allow me to listen to YT at the same time while surfing the web, I thought I might as well purchase a radio with CD capability. The radio I bought was over priced for this particular product. The reception is really bad. Very few radio stations available. Its best for me to buy an MPG player and download my favorite music from there. At least it would be commercial free!

I wanted one for the kitchen because the one in my sewing room was downstairs. I really like the ability to have long play lists that I can create from our cds and edit on the pc.

I did a lot of research looking for a portable CD player. The CD player broke after 4 MONTHS! Best Buy would not deal with it b/c I didn't pay for an extended warranty and SONY was horrible. So much for the quality of Sony. After 2 months of back and forth they told me they cannot replace it b/c there is a new model coming out at some point but they dont know when and don't have any more of these available. So, I got a refund, less the sales tax that I paid. Such a frustrating and disappointing experience as I have always been such a fan of SONY. Will defintiely think twice about buying SONY in the future. Not a smart move by SONY to lose a potential future customer over $7.

It was easy to choose which item I wanted to order and it arrived promptly and was packaged well. However, the instruction sheet is hard to use which is Sony's responsibility, not Best Buy's.

with the expensive sound systems around; - this is not that. This is a nice AM/FM, cd player, Bluetooth compatible, with USB that can even record with a fairly good sound for it's size in a small to medium space.

Looks and works good. easy to operate, better radio than most small radios.

I am very pleased with this boom box. It pleases all ages in my family. The younger generations can enjoy a Bluetooth connection and the older generations can listen to the radio or a CD. Perfect for the family.

I purchased this boombox as a gift and the recipient enjoys it quite a bit. The sound quality is nice and it is easy to use. It is small and portable.

I have been using this boom box for a few years now and it still sounds great. Easy to use.

There are a lot of great features on this boom box, but, it doesn’t have a backlit display, which makes it a real pain. Also, it should definitely have a remote control. Not only do you have to go to the unit to make changes, but you might need a flashlight to see what you are doing. Cutting corners for higher profits? I may return it if I can find something better. It might work ok for some people in certain situations.
