Nice little "companion" radio/cd player for my sewing/hobby room. Thank you.

This is a nifty radio, cd player but I'm sorry to say, it sometimes sounds sticky when I'm listening to the radio. I have another one I bought a few years ago that sometimes sounds staticy - I thought it was getting old. But, the new one is always starting to have static. So, quality must be poor.

This Sony went out on me after one year. I did not buy a product protection plan. The radio still works, but the CD player stopped working altogether. I expected a bit more for such a pricey little boom box.

Was looking for something more affordable than Bose, I was please with this boombox as a compromise!

I had high hopes for this radio. I took it out of the box, and it's all plastic and cheap feeling. Still, I gave it a chance and plugged it in. I just wanted something that got good reception for AM stations. It does NOT get the 2 most important stations. Also the sound is all muffled and too much bass. I'm taking it back and very disappointed. I cannot understand how it got so many great reviews truthfully. I read them and people made it sound like it's a good little radio. I don't see much good for what I need to use it for. Hopefully I will find something that isn't a thousand dollars that can pick up long range stations. I'm near S.D. and just trying to get L.A. stations. My car even does, so will keep hopeful.

purchased based on positive reviews I read online but now regret it. iam not sure why the reviews are so good for this product. first off the display has NO backlight, this in itself is a deal breaker. what was sony thinking not putting a backlight on the display. it makes it very difficult to see. the sound quality is mediocre at best, not much better than an old insignia that I used to have. yes it does have so called mega bass but that is very misleading. it is more like just a sound enhancer. it does help the sound quality somewhat but dont expect deep rich bass that I was hoping for. it does play at a decent level on the radio but when connected to Bluetooth the sound level is greatly reduced even with my phone volume all the way up. very disappointed and will be returning. there is no way this product is worth a hundred dollars.

A must have if you are looking for a portable radio with AM stations

nothing fancy just does exactly what I need it to do

the usb function shuts off automatically at times, very annoying when you're on a roll listening to pleasing music, very violent, can't dig that; installed new Energizer C batteries; new unit; songs began to shut off when sound loudest, but wasn't so loud that my sense of hearing was compromised so that I had to turn it down, even sitting right by it; read in manual that if current gets too much, shuts off automatically, have to unplug usb, plug back in, sure are they kidding, tried that, kept shutting off, then even if sound down low enough to hear well, some songs shut off right at start of songs; also some files uploaded to usb device are not read; will be taking back today in a minute, have to find receipt; wanted it for tabletop use where it would fit in sq inch space on small tabletop, plus black design; mega bass wasn't much; the unit is worthless

When I put a cd in, it sits gingerly. Close the hatch.... the player doesn't read the CD. I've tried many CDs. Same result. Older IPods, usb'ed in, don't register either. Bluetooth on newer IPods work fine. Radio works fine. Speakers are good enough for what this unit is.

I really like the features it has. I made a flash drive from my favorite CD's, and that has been what I primarily listened to. However, I recently started listening to some CD's, and the CD player quit working! Disappointed that the CD player did not work very long, considering the low use it had.

Never buy this. I got the first one about 2 years ago. The CD player crapped out after about 8 months. Sony sent me a replacement and, guess what, today the CD play just crapped out. It's been 1 year, 4 months since the replacement arrived, so it is out of warranty. So, I'm back to square one. Is there a "zero star" review option? I have never reviewed any item online, but felt the poor quality of this Sony item needed to be known.

This must have been an old boom box they found in storage somewhere from a few decades ago. The speakers are not of today's Sony quality. I returned it. My Sony Bluetooth speaker is wonderful.

I would give this zero starts if it was possible. The sound quality is not good at all. The radio reception and Bluetooth connection had too much static regardless of antenna position or phone placement. For a Sony, it was very disappointing. I returned it and will continue shopping for something better.

I received this radio as a present. It worked well for 3 months. It quit working after a power failure in the neighborhood. Sony would not honor the warranty because of the power failure. It is the only device in the house that was affected. It is too flimsy. I do not recommend.

Rather, a radio with cd/mp3 player and some nice features. Sound quality is terrible. I keep wanting to hit the bass boost, but it's already on. Not very loud, either.

I'm honestly disappointed with this boom box.. I turn up all the volume and my alarm clock still sounds louder. Sony you've always made solid products but this one feels cheap and sounds cheap.

Not pleased. Won’t pair to my cell phone. Also keeps static when first turned on
