Great portable boombox

She doesnt use the CD player but uses the radio frequently. I would have given it 5 stars but the antenna is a little flimsy. Overall great for what she is using it for.

New car didn’t offer a CD player even as an option, but provides an USB port connected to the audio system. This Sony allows me to transfer my music collection to a drive for the car.

Adequate CD player for classical music cds

However, it is compact, the sound is adequate, and it was much more economical. I listen constantly and am very happy with this purchase.

Great for young kids

The ability to play music from both cd's and flash drives was a big reason for this purchase. We can put music on the flash drives and not have to worry about cd's getting damaged. Easy enough for the young ones to figure out how to use. Also like the ability to transfer directly from cd to the flash drive. Sound quality is ok for this price point.

The Name Brand, Sony, for the sound system is a selling point for us. Although there are many brands available, this brand consistently provides quality in the sound department. When we see items that are not linked to well known brand names, we become very uncomfortable with purchasing the generics...since their lineage is just not evident. We liked the item so much, we returned to the store to purchase a second one.
