Bought this as a gift for a friend. Helped them set it up, and man does this sub bump. Has a really good low end, and sounds clean, just make sure you set your crossover settings correctly on the sub, and/or receiver if applicable. You gotta go with the 10" for a living room. Makes Movies, and Music sound that much better.

Boom! Is what it does. The crisp clean sound coming from this puppy will complete your audio setup in a very satisfying. Easy connections and just the right size to tuck into the bottom of your entertainment stand. Sony has my nod with this unit. 5 Stars!

This is a very good sub for the money. I’m glad I bought this one instead of the higher priced sub. The bass is very powerful. I use a Sony amp that pushes less than 175 watts per channel. Can’t imagine how much more this sub would sound with more watts. Very happy with purchase.

This is a great little subwoofer. Can't beat it for the price. Really fills up the room with bass. The only thing to watch out for is the auto shutdown feature. Sometimes during quieter parts of movies it will turn itself off. The instructions do mention this, and the fix is to turn the auto shutdown feature off.

This is a great addition to your stereo player. The base on it is phenomenal. I’m really enjoying it.

This subwoofer replaced a much smaller less power subwoofer I had and it definitely is powerful enough for a large bedroom I put it in. It will cut off at lower volumes where not much is going on and in a way, it's kind of annoying but you can tell when it kicks back on. I would say that this subwoofer can be punchy and offer good low ends but it is not a $500 and plus sub either so don't get hopes up - I've tested those and just know what you are getting. If you need something to rattle the windows and knock things off neighbors walls - keep looking. You can expect a good all around sound from this sub that is simple to use and has a nice power saver option that puts it in sleep mode when you switch everything off. My application for using this sub was with 7 Sony speakers I purchased with a Sony receiver w/7.2 abilities. This sub fits nicely with my setup but I am using it in a 19 x 14 bedroom with vaulted ceilings/carpet. It is plenty powerful enough for this application. I intend to later hook up a 2nd one of these on other side of room for more interactive bass. At end of day - it's a sub from Sony, first clue it will be good quality. Second clue, it's cheapest one they got - don't expect movie theater bass or $500 -plus sub results. There is a reason subs of higher costs are at their price points - one area is the amp's quality and it's wattage output, which as subs go, this one is on a lower end.

Sony 10 inch Core subwoofer has 115 watts of surporting bass to match your specific speaker set up. Perfect for a small room, gaming, movies, wirh good bass sound. A little pricey, but it is a sony subwoofer after all. When a 12 inch subwoofer is too much for your space, this cone firing sub will do the job. I always know Sony products are good quality equipment. Basically a plug and play speaker with little to no adjustments.

I’ve been an audiophile for years and I was seriously surprised at the quality and quantity of bass this guy produces. I have it paired with a 10” powered Onkyo subwoofer, and attached to an Onkyo 7.2 receiver with Dolby Atmos. Very Happy!

This sub is awesome. Great sound, looks great in my family room. Easy setup right out of the box. Highly recommend this sub. I just actually purchased another one.

Works well and easy to set up. Took a little work (not too difficult though) to get base level set best for the room. Used the auto setup feature and then fine tuned from there. Only thing that we do not use is power save option because with our receiver, if it doesn't see a bass signal it would go to power save mode and would not come back on so we leave it in the On mode.

I have this with a pair of Klipsch Reference R-51Ms. They sound great together! The ability to adjust the low pass filter on the back of this sub is really useful to dial in just what your mid-high speakers are lacking. It was super easy to hook up to my Onkyo TV-SR373.

Subwoofer sounds excellent! Caught this on sale for $100. Connected the subwoofer directly to my Sony A8G via the TV’s 3.5 mm audio output jack. The TV’s acoustic surface already sounds decent for the size of the room the TV and this subwoofer adds that thump missing!

Love it, great bass. Easy to install. Not to big. Really loud.

The sub provides good, but not exceptionally powerful bass, that blends exceptionally well with the Sony core speakers to include both the towers and bookshelf speakers. It has a clean, modern design and is not over powering in size/weight. However, again if you want loud/thumbing bass you will probably find this sub insufficient.

Doesn’t go subterranean but provides a solid foundation to complement bookshelf speakers. Well worth the cost.

These subs (I have two connected to a Denon 7.2 ch. X2400H AVR) are perfect for my needs. That is, accurate LFE reproduction for movies, and a nice low end lift for music and general content. They compliment 7 full range matched speakers nicely. I would think they would be super additional bass for someone with more limited range mains. I haven't used the line level inputs, yet, but they're a nice feature should I want to use them on a 2 channel amp someday. What they're not at all good for is creating unnatural and distorted wall shaking bass effects. But they sound just fine to my tastes for home theatre or general audio, long as the setup is right. I looked at and almost bought far more expensive subs, but settled on these. I have no complaints so far. The only other subs in this range with any real quality didn't quite match the specs of these. Even a few of the more expensive subs weren't much better... just higher wattage and, likely, a bit better built. Rather refreshing, as I've never really thought much of Sony speakers generally; great TVs, but not my favorite audio stuff. Of course, specs and name are meaningless if it doesn't sound good to your taste. Best advice: listen, if you can, before buying.

I sure enjoyed it's on yourself before cuz it brings out a lot of bass raise the other speakers don't even bring up and I love the volume control that it has you know it brings out a thump that I love I haven't really heard from the Yamaha but I'm glad I'm glad I got them and I finally got my three receipts eventually I'm going to give me the phone 7.1 receiver instead of using an older model receiver that I have from Sherwood

I've never owned a subwoofer before because I don't think they truly represent the music as recorded as well as a well balanced set of speakers. However, I never sit down and solely listen to music so I wanted something that would boost the bass spectrum across my living, dining and family areas to compliment my 3-way Sony bookshelf speakers. The key to these speakers is the pass filter that allows you to dial in the right frequency for a specific listening area. They are killer!

We love our new sub! After many, many years of using a passive sub, this powered 10" blew us away. The only problem we have now is securing stuff on our walls so it doesn't rattle when we watch movies :)
