standby clicks loudly on and off frequently

The big problem I have is the "auto" feature where they go into standby after just a few minutes. This should either be adjustable, or not time out so quickly. When watching movies/tv mixed content they are CONSTANTLY turning off with a loud "click," only to loudly "click" back on when they do get a signal. This is hooked up as LFEs to a newer Sony receiver which supports two LFE subwoofers. This design choice is mystifying. It is very distracting and CAN'T be good for the long term health of the subwoofer. To me, leaving them on all time isn't an option either, as that's a waste of power. My "solution" was to hook up smart plugs and plug the speakers into that, and turn off the standby mode.

It's a little too sensitive and times out too soon. I have the sub-woofer located next to my couch and I can constantly hear the power relay click on and off when sound start and stops. Corrected this by turning off the auto off feature but it would be nice to be able to use.

I was quite impressed with the amount of base produced from this low end, value priced subwoofer. A very decent upgrade for those switching from the older passive style to self powered subwoofer. A good entry level unit for the price.

Unless u are listening to constant bass it turns off. So u either leave it on all the time or manually turn it on and off every time u want to use it. I just leave it on seems to work fine and doesn't get to warm.
