Thanks for purchasing the SA-CS9 115W 10” Active Subwoofer. We're glad that you appreciate the overall features and design of the unit. To obtain a better bass reproduction, we recommend you to install the subwoofer on a solid floor where the resonance is unlikely to occur. You can obtain a sufficient heavy bass reproduction from a single subwoofer. However if you use a couple of the subwoofers, you can obtain an even more effective heavy bass reproduction. Turn the LEVEL control (clockwise) to turn the volume up of the subwoofer so that you can hear the bass sound a little more than before. You may also find different sources will perform better than others due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
With 115W maximum power and a 10" dual-layer mica woofer diaphragm, this Sony Core Series SACS9 active subwoofer produces robust, detailed bass tones. Motion feedback technology promotes optimal signal clarity. Thank you for sharing your feedback and for choosing Sony! -Jess

Good basic sub

Probably $20 - $30 dollars overpriced, but some of the boutique brands seem to have more problems than the big brands.

Good for the money

Found this gem on sale for $99 and decided to give it a chance despite being told "to only buy speakers from an audio manuf". Paired it with my Sony Bravia TV and a new Sony receiver and I couldnt be happier. Great deep bass and impressive body construction. Go get this!

At the price of under $ 130.00 it's a no brainer purchase.
