I am very impressed with the clarity of the bass I'm hearing with this sub-woofer. Although it does take a little floor space, the sound just makes it worth it. The price was very reasonable for the quality I received.

Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofer - Black is a very powerful Subwoofer by itself, but paired with all the core series speakers and an extra Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofer - Black and the SONY STR-DN1080 is just ridiculously AMAZING.

Bought this to replace my Definitive Technology subwoofer that died. I did my research and am VERY satisfied. The price is excellent for the amount of bass produced.

This subwoofer is replacing a non-powered one in a speaker set bought 20 years ago. This one requires its own power supply, has sound quality adjustment controls & rocks the house for sound & power. Like it!

I gave it 4 stars bcus its really big in size' it made it hard finding a space for it to fit proper but i guess it needs to be that size to produce an awesome sound' this is a powerful sub, i keep having to turn down the volume bcus i know i might be rocking the apartment below me

This sub has great bass response ad output. Makes the difference in any movie. I was going to have 2 subs in my set-up but after listening to this sony, I only need one. Bass you can feel. So much more robust than the Polk. Sound quality is off the charts

This sub offers a nice design, easy setup, and loud bass. Easily incorporated into a home theater system with subwoofer cable. Knobs on back control volume and cutoff (50hz - 200hz). Another nice setting is power save mode, which will turn off the sub if no signal is sent from the receiver. The sub also looks nice and does not stick out like a piece of equipment, but as an accent to the room.

Replaced my old subwoofer with this one. I bought an open box item. It sounds great and perfect for my family room theater

I bought this to pair with a Sony Surround Sound System and it works perfect. There are controls on it to adjust the volume and also a failsafe cutout if it gets sent to much power. My wife complains about my movies and shows because the bass rattles the house.

The sound is incredible. I love how deep the bass can go, and it's adjustable to your liking. If you don't want bass hitting the entire movie, you can turn down the frequency so it only hits hard in extreme cases....or turn it up all the way and it pounds the entire time!

This is a great little sub. Got it at a great price too when it was on sale. Packs all the bass anyone will need. When you turn it up it will even rattle the walls. I definitely recommend this subwoofer.

Excellent value and plenty of bump regardless of the type of music. I have 2 of these on a Sony STR-DH790 receiver as well as all Sony speakers and it sounds awesome.

Very happy! Excellant addition to our outdoor pool deck system. Paired it with a sony receiver and 1 yamaha and 4 klipsch outdoor speaker. Let the receiver do the auto speaker setup, works like a charm. Base covers our entire 1250 sq ft. deck area easily.

I purchased this after my original dedicated home theater system went bad. I have this 10" core series sub mated with the sony dh-790. Planned on buying 2 since i have 2 sub outputs, and afterall it is for a DEDICATED home theater, but after testing out this one it does the work of 2. I'm a somewhat audiophile and this sub has great response, no nasty reverb, and isnt "hollow" sounding as most others ive tried. I have a 4k projector and beautiful theater, but most are amazed and curious about the sound amplifier and sub! Really ties everything together and emerses you in your media, wether its movies or your music. Cant recommend it enough.

Unexpectedly had to replace a 12 year old sub (I know) and this was a great value. It booms!

I recently upgraded my home theater. The last item I needed was a new subwoofer. I purchased this sony and it makes a world of difference when watching on the new tv or streaming my music through bluetooth. The deep bass makes all the difference.

I recently set-up my 7.2 surround sound using a STRDH770 and Sony Core Series speakers. These subs hit hard and sound great. The only issue is the audio cable is only ~5ft long. Had to purchase longer cables to position subs where I wanted them in the room.
