It provided exceptional low frequencies and filled the room with great sound to complete the sound spectrum while watching movies. I purchased this unit specifically because it was designed by Sony and had slightly better features compared to my previous model. I hate to say it, but it is lacking. The low frequencies are weak and don't have the same punch as the previous model. There is some presence, but I'm disappointed considering this is a newer model with more wattage. I have setup and tweaked the subwoofer to no avail. It just doesn't deliver the quality low frequency sound that I am used to and expected from Sony. P. S. I also owned a Polk subwoofer with similar specs that didn't compare. This models beats it, but is still very weak and provides an overall disappointing experience.
