It’s not that it’s a bad sub, it’s just not a good subwoofer. It felt mostly plastic. With the gain turned to 10 and after tuning to my room, it still did not produce good low frequencies. I assume the other positive reviews are from people who have never had a sub with their bookshelf speakers. If it’s your first and you have nothing to compare it to, I can see why you would appreciate the added bass. I bought this to replace a Klipsch 12 inch sub and it was nowhere near what I had hoped for. I returned it and bought a KLW from another vendor. The KLW was another $100, but very much worth the added price. Deep low end produced accurately which is ultimately what we are all after.

Posted .Hi Tommy, it is really unfortunate to hear our SA-CS9 did not meet your expectations and that it needs to be returned. We’re not sure which brand of amplifier/AV receiver you have your subwoofer connected to, however, please ensure the connections have been correctly made. You need to turn the LEVEL clockwise to turn the volume up of the subwoofer. You may also find different sources will perform better than others due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
We will have this opportunity noted as we always strive to make this a better experience.

Posted .Hi jorgito, thank you so much for the 4-stars review. We are sorry if you are having an issue with the auto power-on function of our SA-CS9. Please make sure that the auto power on/off function of the subwoofer is on by sliding the POWER SAVE switch on the rear panel. If you turn down the volume level of the amplifier too low, the auto power on/off function may activate, causing the subwoofer to enter power-saving mode.
