    Ehh. I didn't like it. Maybe better suited for small rooms. For 150$ more. Wait for the klipsch sales for either a 10 in or 12 in.

      We're so sorry if the bass sound quality of our SACS9 bookshelf speaker did not meet your expectations. We’re not sure which brand of amplifier/AV receiver you have this subwoofer connected to, however, please ensure the connections have been correctly made. You need to turn the LEVEL clockwise to turn the volume up of the subwoofer. You may also find different sources will perform better than others due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

    I haven’t really been able to hear the bass yet. Nothing has made it hit or it’s just not as good of a bass as I would’ve hoped.

    I read a lot of other reviews and decided to give this Sony sub a chance but was quickly disappointed as soon as I hooked it up and turned it on. I have owned a bunch of different subs and was trying to be budget friendly and saw the good reviews on this sub and bought it. You get what you pay for with this sub. I was replacing a 10 year old velodyne 8" and this sony 10" was none existant as I am running definitive towers with powered 8" subs. I returned this sony

    Lasted me about a month, if you like movies and music and you wanna feel it, enjoy it while it last cause one day my subwoofer just stopped subwoofering.

    Not very good base for what I wanted. Bought 2 of them and was kind of disappointed. Returned them for a different set.

    Was a little disappointed with the bass output with this subwoofer. Was expecting better sound from. Its just adequate for a small room.

    It doesnt like loud music. I can smell burned wires . Dont have that with movies though

      -Check that this subwoofer and
      components are connected correctly
      and securely.
      -Turn LEVEL clockwise to turn the
      volume up.

      -Reset the level.

      -The speaker cords may have shortcircuited. Connect the cords properly.

      Thank you for the feedback on your experience with your new SA-CS9 115W 10” Active Subwoofer. We are sorry if the auto power-off function did not meet your expectations. As part of normal operation, if there is no signal input for a few minutes, the POWER indicator lights up in red and the subwoofer enters power-saving mode. You can set the Power Save switch to the OFF position to prevent the subwoofer from turning off by itself.

    Purchased this to replace my Polk sub that died. I was attracted to the price that was very reasonable and experience with Sony products. Sorry to say this one came up short on power & sound. To be honest I could hardly tell it was on while listening to music or watching a movie. I exchanged it for a Klipsch.

It's unfortunate to hear our SA-CS9 115W 10” Active Subwoofer did not meet your expectations when it comes to sound quality, and that it needs to be returned. We’re not sure which brand of amplifier/AV receiver you have this subwoofer connected to, however, please ensure the connections have been correctly made. It is recommended to move the subwoofer away from the center of a room or eliminate the cause of the standing wave, by installing a bookshelf on the wall, etc as the bass could be extremely weakened. It is also advisable to turn the LEVEL control so that you can hear the bass sound a little more than before. You may also find different sources will perform better than others due to different types of audio compression and transmission.

      We hope that you consider Sony again in your future purchases.

    I was disappointed in the amount of base this unit puts out. It could be because I have such an odd shaped 6 sided room with 16 foot ceilings and 40 foot walls, not sure.

    This Sub is great. It is front firing, so I would suggest this for a 20ft room, for anything lesser I think you need a downward firing one.
