My only real gripe with it is that the length of the power cord is maybe four feet long. Naturally I needed five feet to reach the outlet, but I made things work. Otherwise, I am definitely satisfied with it completing my steroe set-up of a Sony receiver and two bookshelf speakers.

Give life to an old system

I bought this to add to my over 10 year old Sony surround sound system. This thing shakes my entire house when we're watching movies. You feel every boom every blast throughout your whole body. Wonderful addition to revive an old system.

I came into the Best Buy store in spring hill, FL and the staff was very helpful in helping me find exactly what i needed. My movie and TV watching experience changed the moment I plugged the subwoofer in. I'm glad you can put it anywhere in the room. This woofer probably could get 5 stars, although the only slight drawback is that it only engages when there is sufficient power (volume) to drive the cone, so there is no extra bass in lower volumes. If you want extra uumph in the medium to loud volumes, then this woofer is a great way to go.

Now I have a nice balanced sound with clear strong low end from the system. I enjoy regular TV program and you tube music clips. I like this subwoofer very much.

Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofer

Sometimes, when the volume is very low it does not automatically switch itself on. Just turning the volume up on the receiver activates the auto-on feature. It can also be set to always stay on.

Feel that Rumble!

Hearing explosions and making the ground shake or even when the T-Rex escapes his area in Jurassic Park never felt so scary. Pick this up if you're looking for a new and fairly cheap subwoofer.
