Lackluster For watts and price

But the power saver option doesn’t work as indicated. It’s suppose to shut off when not in use- but most of the time it shuts off and on during use. The power delivery is weak and the low range is not there. Bass gives strength and warmth to ur music but this ain’t doing it. It replaced and old Sony bass box which was half the size and less watts but sounded way better. Unfortunately I had to get a new receiver and the old bass wasn’t powered. Look elsewhere

We are really sorry if our SA-CS9 115W 10” Active Subwoofer didn't live up to your expectations and that it had to be returned. This is certainly not the news we'd like to hear from you.
Regarding the auto power-off function, if there is no signal input for a few minutes, the POWER indicator lights up in red and the subwoofer enters power-saving mode. This feature can be turned off by sliding the POWER SAVE switch on the rear panel to OFF. And depending on the audio source, the bass sound of our SA-CS9 may not be so noticeable. This can be fixed by adjusting the LEVEL control (clockwise) to turn the volume up of the subwoofer.
Your feedback matters to us as it helps us improve our products. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope that you'll consider Sony again in your future purchase.

Deep and clean bass at an affordable price

Nice complement to my stereo system in my garage gym. Bringing up the low frequencies makes the music sound much louder and richer without having to crank up the volume overall.

All of the speakers worked, except for my sub. I tried different wiring, but never could get it to work. So I bought this one for $159. I am very happy and it adds that sound that I was missing.

Best part is that speaker can be adjusted to automatically shut off/ on when no signal is received. This took a little getting used to while watching movies. But definitely a nice feature.

Perfect for small and medium sized spaces. I'm using mine in a home office, paired with Edifier bookshelf speakers. Nice rich bass with no distortion. Would recommend!
