More deep and immersive and goes with projector nicely. I’m using two subs for better performance.

All of the speakers worked, except for my sub. I tried different wiring, but never could get it to work. So I bought this one for $159. I am very happy and it adds that sound that I was missing.

Nor am I impressed, which is what I was hoping for, so my loss. In all fairness, it was about the least expensive sub you can buy and still do some damage with it. It does get loud enough and fills out the bottom end when listening at low to moderate levels. It is not, however, very musical. I have a 40 year background in high spl car stereo's as well as live sound reinforcement so perhaps my expectations are too high. Good little unit, feels kinda cheap and I think it could benefit from a heavy dose of fiber fill. It sounds very "boomy" with little self control. Probably great for a kids/game room to make video games more exciting. I bought it based on it's price and claimed frequency response, high volume wasn't necessary for this application. It is installed in a customer waiting/show room for a memorial dealer that I put two Klipsch 8" ceiling speakers in powered by a small Onkyo 2 channel amp. At the low volume levels of the environment, the bottom from the Klipsch's just wasn't there so I sought to add just a touch of love. Just too harsh a sound. It is an inexpensive sub and it isn't bad value for the money, but for $100 bucks more (less if you find a sale), a 10" Klipsch sub is a much better value dollar for dollar. Not saying a person shouldn't buy this; for video games and explosions in movies, it would definitely make you happier about your sound bar purchase, but for musical precision in a well laid out yet budget conscious system, just don't. It's not a matter of getting what you pay for; in that department the Sony delivers in spades. It's just a matter of knowing what to expect. I hope this review helps you to.

Depending on the audio source, the bass sound of our SA-CS9 may not be so noticeable. However, you may try adjusting the LEVEL control (clockwise) to turn the volume up of the subwoofer so that you can hear the bass sound a little more than before. You may also find different sources will perform better than others due to different types of audio compression and transmission.
With the SA-CS9, you can fully realize the depth of all your movie soundtracks, compatible with High-Resolution Audio. Immerse yourself in a deep, responsive low to mid-range with the mica-reinforced cone, and enjoy enhanced audio clarity thanks to the Bass Reflex design.

Perfect for small and medium sized spaces. I'm using mine in a home office, paired with Edifier bookshelf speakers. Nice rich bass with no distortion. Would recommend!

My living room is HUGE , however watching movies sounds good. Didnt want to break the bank to much with grabbing a really expensive sub so found thia one on sale. $149 money well spent snd does the job. My possibly grab one more to fill in more space. Plug and play, you dont need anything additional to plug up

Best part is that speaker can be adjusted to automatically shut off/ on when no signal is received. This took a little getting used to while watching movies. But definitely a nice feature.

Powerful enough for my small living room system. Only complaint was one of the grill posts was broken off inside the whole when I got it. Not a bit enough deal to warrant a return, but a bit annoying still.
