After installing this Sony to accompany our other bookshelf speakers we noticed how much fuller and stronger the sound was. Good buy for the money.

It really fills the room. Ours is paired with the Center Speaker, 2 floor speakers, 2 bookshelf speakers & Onkyo TS NR 686 receiver for an outstanding 5.1 system!!

It definitely fills my man cave with the deep lows I've been looking for. If you just want to get a sub that's not too expensive this definitely will hold you over. I would definitely buy this again.

The only thing i dislike is the “Auto Off Power Saver” kicks in within a few minutes and it makes a clicking noise with it turns off and then on.

We are sorry if its auto power on/off feature didn't live up to your expectations. If there is no signal input for a few minutes, the POWER indicator lights up in red and the subwoofer enters power-saving mode. And while in this mode a signal is input to the subwoofer, the subwoofer automatically turns on. You can actually turn off this function by sliding the POWER SAVE switch on the rear panel of the subwoofer to OFF.

Little guy packs a punch

Underwhelming Sub Woofer

The only issue was when I played it next to my existing Polk Audio sub - it didn’t have the same punch. Tried it a different levels, different movies/sound tracks, etc. Honestly - I was underwhelmed. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t soMething I was doing wrong so I utilized they “chat” support at Best Buy. Impossible to get them on the phone. Spent 2 hours - was disconnected twice and the answer I finally received was that it had softer lows. Anyway- I am a long time Best Buy customer. This wasn’t a great experience. The Sony subwoofer wasn’t right for me.

Perfect for 800 ft living room!

I’m pretty impressed. To get an entire dedicated 5.2.2 atmos home theatre for around $1,600 is a no brained if trying to decide between something like this and a high end sound bar.

Good complement. Don't use it too loud

That being said, this is a good complement to your system. As a complement to the bass your speakers provide, it is great. Pumping this sub up too high isn't enjoyable. But when this this is over 50% off, it is a great deal. Just isn't the sub for me.

Great sub for surround sound 7.2

Paired it up with 6 polk audio T15 speakers and a T30 center speaker. Along with a onkyo tx NR575 7.2 reciever .watching 4k movies now are phenomenal. You get the full cinematic experience.
