I've never really had to push them. Never had to go past 50-60% of built in amp to get desired effect

I did not need a very big woofer but it does add quite a bit of bass.

It supplies enough bass sound for my 5 Speaker setup.I was amazed at the differents in total sound after I added the subwoofer and calibrated it with other speakers in the system.
