It can barely be heard after turning the unit's volume way up and adding 5 decibels to the signal from my Yamaha receiver. It does have a deep clear sound when you can hear it, but there will be no "wall rattling" like from my previous Sony sub. What happened Sony?

Love the adjustable volume which comes in handy for providing deeper bass when needed. The auto cutoff function is a plus ensuring I'm not wasting electricity when not in use. I've seen reviews that knock it's power, but the proper source and receiver adjustments it's more than enough.
