I have it hooked up to an Onkyo TX-NR696 in a 5.1.2 setup. The issue I have is that on ‘Auto Power’ mode the Sub Woofer cannot make up its mind and is switching on and off constantly. This is somewhat annoying to frequently hear the click during a mOkie or TV show.

If you want really deep base, you will have to jump up to a 12". For what it is, it's great for a smaller room. My living room is only 16 x 20 and crowded. Coupled with a Sony receiver, I was able to adjust the bass how I wanted it. Movies get that extra punch needed during action scenes.
