The subwoofer wasn't working for awhile now (6 months or so), so I went to Best Buy and got a new one. Works GREAT and looks almost like the one it replaced so it matches well.

If you want really deep base, you will have to jump up to a 12". For what it is, it's great for a smaller room. My living room is only 16 x 20 and crowded. Coupled with a Sony receiver, I was able to adjust the bass how I wanted it. Movies get that extra punch needed during action scenes.
