They sound perfect in my small bedroom..but Im thinking about getting the Two tower speakers also

A lot of audio sites and YouTube reviewers always raving about these speakers so I thought I'd check them out now that they are on sale for the holidays. Well, those reviewers were not lying. These sound like true audiophile speakers. The reviewers said they hold their own against, or even beat, speakers costing $300-$500. Do they? I don't know, I never owned $500 speakers, but I can tell you that they do sound like what I'd imagine $500 speakers sounding like. They are detailed, yet smooth. No harshness or glare whatsoever. Have a true "high-end" sound, exceptionally clear, exceptionally detailed, exceptionally smooth. Highly recommend.

So happy with Sony-Core Series 5" 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers, had a set of JBL Decade for 25 years(retired them to garage from office) Sony-Cores have taken over the office. Sound is clear even at low value, bass is surprisingly good. If these Sony's last half as long and sound twice as good, will be very happy.

Sound great. Affordable. I use them for a surround setup but could be for a record player or music area.

These are awesome speakers for the need. I use them as book shelf speakers. Attached a Bluetooth amplifier to it to make them wireless and they sound high end. Great value for the price.

A decent size and sound great. Especially for the price. Bought them on a whim cuz I needed some speakers for my turntable and I’m glad ai chose these. They’re perfect.

First off I want to say I’m not an audiophile but I most definitely appreciate good sound and I do own some nice gear(Cambridge CXA60 amp and Martin Logan Dynamo 700 sub). I did get these on the $75 sale price but even @ $150 these are freaking incredible for the money. Look up Z Reviews and Zero Fidelity on YouTube. They both did reviews on these speakers and were thoroughly impressed as am I. Now before I bought these I was daily driving a pair of KEF Q150’s and while those are good I think I may actually prefer these no joke. These are so good I even bought a pair of the floor standing models for my dad for home theater use and they are being powered by an older Denon AVR and they still sound incredible for the money. Buy these without hesitation you won’t be disappointed

Great sound compact design looks nice hooked up to my new STR DH190 under $200 bucks Sony amp now I'm spinning disc's again on my over 40 year old perfect condition PS-X5 Sony Turntable. Super impressed with the quality. My collection of LPs sound great. COOL........

I'm gonna preface this review by stating that I'm not an audiophile, but I do prefer good, clear sound. I also live in an apartment, so I don't need full-sized floor standing speakers. I've used Sony bookshelf speakers for my surround sound system for the last eight years, and have always been relatively happy with them. However, I recently upgraded the front channels to these three-way speakers and was blown away by how much more full and clear the sound is. The mids are now showing up much more powerfully, and the lows don't make them muddy by passing through the same driver. I'm very pleased, but also shocked that this level of quality is possible at such a customer-friendly price. Thanks, Sony. I now fully intend to replace my PC speakers with them. They're also Sony bookshelf speakers. I'll probably put the old ones behind the couch to complete my 7.1.

These speakers are perfect for my needs. I’m very hard of hearing so I can’t speak for their sound quality but I’m listening and enjoying. Like their compact feature too.

These are great bookshelf speakers. For their size, they are clear and even the bass is pretty good. Great for a small setup or to add to your larger speaker setup.

Way better than my sound bar, voice is much clearer bass is much tighter, paired with an old sony reciver i bought for 5 bucks highly recomend stepping away from the all in one sound bars.

These are great for starters. My TV has built in 10 watts. My new system has 300 plus a sub. I'm building my entertainment system and plan to commit on getting more speakers. Wait till there on sale. They are very solid and I like them. Measure your space and check the specs. I love them.

Purchased these bookshelf speakers for the front speakers of my 5.1 system. Great sound out of a small footprint. I added the Sony sub as well and it really makes movie watching enjoyable. The speakers were on sale at BB at a great price and well worth the cost.

These Sony bookshelf are incredible. Team it with the Towers,sub and center and put a really good receiver,I’m using Denon 485 and what sound comes out. I switched the wire,had some Morrow so I put em on…the difference is unbelievable, This is by far a steal for its cost.

These are really nice - for the price. I use these as computer speakers (connected to a receiver) and they work really well. They get fairly loud, and are nice and clear. Are there better speakers out there? YES - but you will be paying for that. These are perfect for what I need.

I went to my local BB to get replacement speakers for our main entertainment system as the old ones finally were done with. I didn't know what I was going to get, but I knew how much I wanted to spend, at least ballpark-wise. After looking at a few options, a BB Representative came to assist me and pointed out these speakers and their great sound. I then compared them to models that cost about $100 more for a set and these blew them away. The real test is getting them home and hearing them in my space. Even better. I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I know when something sounds good. These are awesome. I would buy them again.

These speakers will surprise, even shock you. I heard them at a friend's place, and bought them on sale the next day, almost as a lark. A tremendous value. The strong point is the sweet and clear tweeter, but it is all good. And they weigh only 10 pounds each. How did they do this? Fyi, I do use a sub. I have owned the Klipsch rp-600m and the Elac uni-b52. Both very good speakers that will make many people happy. For me, the rp-600m was bright and verging on harshness at high volume in the very high registers. The uni-b52 tweeter sounded somewhat veiled and heavy at times, little 'air', though its mid-range is first rate. Both of these speakers cost 5-6 times more than the sonys. Of course all audio judgements are predicated on your hearing. and your audio room. It is largely subjective. I am retired, and listen to hi-res classical and jazz, for the most part, in an acoustically friendly space.

Great sounding speakers. I use them in a dedicated home theater setup.
