Great speaker but product quality issues.

I have purchased four of them and have used them for nearly a year with no issues. However, I recently ordered a pair and upon installing them, one of the speakers was having a lot of audio issues. The other one was perfectly fine. When I took it to my local best buy location, they told me they couldn't do anything about it and refused to even test the speaker. I am pretty sure it is blown, or something else is wrong with it. Great speakers, but awful customer service. I would love to purchase a new set but I am worried i'll receive another blown speaker and will just have the same issue again.

Poor advice.

It was listed as speakers frequently bought with the turntable that I purchased. After opening the boxes I discovered that the speakers do not work with the turntable I purchased. Even more frustrating is that the person I bought these items for did not open them until February and now they can’t be returned so I am out all that money. Way to go Best Buy. You really should monitor your site better so your customers do not buy incomparable items.

We're sorry to hear about your experience. Unfortunately, you cannot directly connect these speakers to a turntable. It has to be connected to an AV receiver/amplifier first to power up the speakers, then you can connect your turntable to the same receiver. That was quick and easy!

I think they sound great BUT I have them crossed over at 80hz thru my Denon receiver. I never have even tried them in "full range" mode because I already know a speaker like this isn't going to have any low end (Bass) response. So if you want to get the best out of these speakers I encourage you to add a subwoofer to your system. I find the mids and highs of these speakers give great clarity and image. With the bass cut off by my receiver and the added subwoofer, these suckers rock out. I got these for like 85 bucks pre tax during the holidays, which is absolutely ridiculous for how they sound..an easy recommendation for an under $200 speaker pair. I feel that they really shine at high volumes. Audessey calibration will have them sounding superb. Decent crossover components inside the speaker enclosure, better bracing or even no-rez would have brought this speaker up another notch, but what more could we expect from a speaker at this price point??

Weak Speaker Sound

This pair of Sony speakers does not produce an adequate amount of bass and peaked at around 70db @ 90w +/-. I returned these immediately.

For optimum performance, it is recommended to connect all cables or speaker wires properly and make sure that they are secured. Sound quality will also depend on the audio source that you're playing. Adjust the volume setting of the source device or player in order to increase the level of sound coming from these speakers.

Speaker "hums"

The one speaker came as shown without cover, when connected has a continuous vibrating sound, have made several adjustments the humming noise will not cease. The opposite unit is working fine. So should I return the set or both?

Poor connectivity and sound

Unfortunately the Sony speakers are supposed to work better with Sony DVR but even after multiple troubleshooting with technicians they couldn't figure out why they will keep losing sound in between.
