They r perfect for the job. Hooked up to Kintec 20w amp and turntable. Great sale price. Small room, nice sound. Let them break in and they smooth out.

I have these on a sony receiver and the sound quality is awsome these little speakers perform well and have adequate power the way i am using them and am very satisfied

Fills my need for speakers to hook up 7.5" reel to reel and connecting pc and 200W amp to play music. Got tired of the pour pc speakers that are normally connected to a pc. Music quality is a lot better.

Use these as side surround speakers paired to an Onkyo 686 with Jamo S803 fronts and a BIC America 12” sub. They sound fantastic for only $75. Very crisp and clear highs.

Sounds greater than imagined they would. When paired with a Sony amp, the music enhancer mode really makes these speakers stand out!

Bought these a little while ago because I had already replaced my center channel with a larger speaker and I wanted to Balance out my front stereo channels. I've listened to these in movies and music, and they work great in both situations. I find myself actually listening to music more now because these work just as well in Stereo modeas they do in surround. If you're buying these for a surround sound system be sure to pick up the matching center channel as well.

These speakers were on sale and were a great buy at 70 dollars. I would not pay full price for them though. For 70 dollars these sound great.

On sale at $75, paired with a $40 receiver with Bluetooth, add in a $40 AT record player and I had myself a fantastic, versatile audio setup on a budget. The sound on these is smooth and energetic, and can be paired with just about any Class D receiver, really. As unpowered speakers, you need a receiver, actually. A must for college students looking to blast music in their room or dorm, who know what they're doing when it comes to an old-school audio setup.

These little speaker will make a great edition to complete your 7.2 system. Put them in the front above or in the back above. Make sure you let them fill those pockets of sound.

Power packed quality in a small package. Handles bass surprisingly well for a shelf speaker. Played loudly with zero distortion.

These little bookshelf speakers have enormous amounts of bass. Sound clear and awesome. You can’t go wrong. I was tentative and now am very happy with this purchase.

Cleanest sounding bookshelves speakers which rivals other high end bookshelves speakers...I really enjoy the bright highs it reproduces. I paired these SSCS5 speakers to my retro pioneer VSX-455 as my front speakers in 5.2 setup and it sound amazing. In movies it makes all sounds effects sound clear and crisp... in gaming as well. If your wondering what makes the noticable difference in sound compared to others bookshelves speakers...it's all thanks to SONY crossover inside. I have no cons for this product. Planning to get another pair when they go on sale again from Bestbuy.

Sound great, will buy these speakers again to use with my other electronics, I have bought sony products for 30 years, stereos,cassette players,cd players, tvs, speakers, and they always performed & sound good, quality products, will buy them again.

Speakers were returned. My research before purchase revealed the following. Speakers offer terrific highs and midrange. Quality far exceed the cost.

This is my second purchase / review of these speakers. The first set was a gift for my son. After being surprised by how well they sounded - this set was for me. As I mentioned in my last review for the first set - don't expect these to sound as good as speakers running hundreds or thousands of dollars a piece. For what they are and their price range though - and if you run them off a semi decent amp - they're fantastic. Don't believe me though - find out if your local store has them on display and give them a listen yourself.

These sound incredible and blow any other speaker I've tried out of the water. Disclaimer, I haven't tried many audiophile grade speakers, but these will sound better than any phone speaker or Bluetooth speaker for the price. The only small complaint is how the bass is a little weak, though it is still quite clear. To be expected though.
