Perfect Apartment Speakers

I bought these speakers as an upgrade for my SONY CMT-SBT100 micro stereo system. They produce deep bass tones and crisp high notes. TV & Movies sound better, as well as Bluetooth and vinyl records. All of which I have hooked up to these speakers. Fills my apartment with quality sound, but not too much for neighbors to complain. Highly recommend for great sound in smaller spaces.

Best pair of speakers you can get at this price point. Of course a pair of $500 bookshelf speakers would sound “better” compared to these speakers, but that goes without saying. I cannot recommend any speaker from the core series enough!

Very good speakers

Excellent sound quality.

These are the same 60W bookshelf speakers Sony has made for decades. Of corse they have been revised. At a 100W rating is equal to 70W RMS. The sound quality is excellent. As good as more expensive speakers. If you can get them for a buck fifty, cannot go wrong. Thinking about getting the floor standing speakers also.

Great sound from a bookshelf speaker

If you can get these on sale then all the better. Even at the regular price of $149 these speakers are amazing in their imaging and detail. I own high end speakers that do not have as much detail as these. Listening to 30 year old CD's I was able to pick up new detail and information not heard before even on speakers much more expensive. Get them and you will not be disappointed.

Nice and easy

And they have turned out to be the quality speakers I read about. I set them up to a Sony STR-DH90 receiver, with a turntable and cd to complete my system. I am past the age of wanting to feel the bass pound on my chest or share my music two blocks over, so these speakers work great for me. And they do meet my geezer moments of wanting it loud. Quite honestly some of my old original vinyl, sound better out of these speakers, than they did out of a set of high end Marantz I had for years, until they went off to college with my son. He finished college with a Master’s degree in engineering. The speakers didn’t make it past freshman year. These little Sonys are the first speakers to even come close. Be prepared if you get a set, that the hookups are all old school—copper wire to posts.
