Bought these to upgrade my mother in laws 20 year old surround sound. She went from having 4 speakers, one center speaker and a subwoofer to just 2 speakers and a Center Speaker. Sounds a million times better and she can upgrade to a subwoofer to enhance those movies and Football games.

Good speakers

Small speakers, room filling sound.

Literally the only thing not making these cost hundreds more is the cheap pressed wood material the box is made of. As long as they stay dry they should be great speakers for years to come.

Great Sound and Excellent Value!

Got these as my primary L and R channels for my home theater. Didn't realize how small they would be, but boy do they pack a punch! Rolled the dice on a refurb/open box sale, worth every penny saved!

They fit in very well. A bit larger than expected so I was pleasantly surprised. Even a better deal when you buy them on sale

Packs a good punch!

I also have a powered sub in the mix which ties all the sound together. Have had just over a year now and have not had any issues.

Great for music and movies

They handle everything I throw at them really well — music was my main concern, and these don’t disappoint at all. They sound great in stereo with the turntable, especially in the highs with the dual tweeters. And they’re still the hero of the 5.1 setup for movies — crystal clear highlights from the corners of the room. They look nice, they sound great, and they’re at a good price point. Tough to beat that value,

Good for the Price

To me they had the best overall reproduction in the Best Buy selection of comparable sized speakers. I'm thinking there is no need to spend more unless you are willing to spend twice that much. At that point, you will start hearing a significant improvement in sound. Between $250 and $500 seems to be a no man's land.
