Decent Value For The Price

Was never really happy with the speakers. Good on lows by terrible on highs. Have slowly been replacing them over the years. My latest additions were these Sony speakers. My goal, to be able to listen to a movie dialogue without constantly having to adjust the sound up and down because of low volume dialogue and overbearing sfx sounds. The Sony's did a great job by bringing out more of the high-frequency sounds, such as whispers and generally higher female voices. Not the best speakers for music I've ever owned, but I didn't spend over a thousand dollars for the pair, either. Will probably purchase another set for the rear speaker set, soon.

Hooked these up to convert my 3.1 system to 5.1. Greatly improved the sound from by Onkyo reciever which really did not fully operate in 3.1 mode. Much better sound quality for movies and other program and I think the speech is clearer through the center channel as well.

Impressive!

Owned for 6 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Sony Core Series speakers from the floorstanding towers to the center channel to the bookshelf speakers to the subwoofer to pair with the Sony STR-DN1080 AVR for a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 setup and the sound is amazing! I upgraded from a Sony soundbar and what a difference! I am definitely impressed and glad I switched! Get the entire setup on special to make it even more worth it!

Great all around speakers.

Using with a Denon avr-s750h as the left and right channel in a 7.2, great addition to my home theater. Using for movies, music, and games. Great improvement over my 14 year old jbl speakers and I am hearing things I never heard before. Will keep these in the configuration for the foreseeable future.
