Sony - Core Series 5" 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) - Black are a very powerful set by itself, but paired with all the Sony core series speakers and two Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofers - Black and the SONY STR-DN1080 is just ridiculously AMAZING.

I just the sound quality of these speakers. I added them to my current LG surround system.

These are pretty nice for what they cost on sale ($75). They are paired with a Sony 10" sub, and a Yamaha 100 wpc receiver in my vacation rental. I've only listened to FM radio through these. They have a bright sound with pretty clear midrange. When cranked up a little they handle it well, with the woofers humming! I wouldn't call them audiophile quality, but they are decent for what they are.

I bought these for a lounge area at work and use them with a Bluetooth iPod nano and a Yamaha 2-channel 200w receiver. They sound great and are pretty clear even when they get loud. I can hear every part of a song and haven't had any problems with them. I would buy these for my own home.

When we redid our living room we replaced our early 1980's standing floor speakers with this pair of Sony bookshelf speakers. I love the sound they produce. They sound so much better than the old speakers and they take up a fraction of the space.

Well base on my experience it eassy to set up and it a good quality of product and before i set it up i ask one of tour staff before i buy the product if the quality is good or not and he told me that this speaker is good

Excellent sound quality!!! Deal of the day purchase so the price was a steal!! Can be used alone in smaller rooms at lower volumes and still have good frequency range. To really see/hear what these can do, use with a sub.

Excellent balanced sound with presence. Might fill a small room...am using them as back speakers in a medium sized living room. Great compliment to floor standing front speakers. 6ohm/100watts

First off these speakers were not my first choice I hooked them up to be a surround backs I’ve listen to them for about 15 hours and they sound not bad. Will I exchange them no they do sound pretty good.

The speakers are working great and the sound is perfect for our room. It was hard to find a Best Buy associate who had knowledge of speakers. Also, the demo system at the Richfield store didn't work .

great sound especially when paired with the Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofer. I actually have an few year old car head unit running these (and the sub) in my living room an it all sounds way better than expected.

I have been reading about these speakers in various online forums for over a year now. I was not in the market for a new set of speakers but I saw these go on sale for 1/2 price and I could not resist. My initial setup was a set of Monitor Audio R90 with matching center (made in England version) matched to a HSU VTF-2 MK5 but I always felt that there could be a little more low end out of the front main speakers. The Sonys ended filling in all the detail that was previously missing in the low range while still being very articulate in the high range without being harsh despite have a "super" tweeter. The Core series easily keeps up with speakers going for $300-500/pair. I would say they may sound just as good at lower to moderate volumes as a set of B&W DM series that I used to own. I honestly do not think you can buy a better set of speakers under $300.,

I bought these for my surround speakers for my Home Theater System along with the matching Floor Standing Speakers, the Center Channel Speakers and 2 Powered Subs. Along with my Sony 4K TV and my Sony Home Theater Receiver, my system is now Banging'......Love them!!

I was a bit skeptical when I bought these. I didn't think that they would sound as nice as they do. They have a wide frequency response for bookshelf speakers. I liked them so much that I had to return to buy the matching center speaker. Now my system is complete. I couldn't be happier.

These speakers are amazing! They were paired with the Sony 2 channel receiver and produce amazing sounds! I hooked up a turntable and was able to play all my old albums from the 1970’s. I am very pleased with this purchase.

This are the first new speakers that I ever had, I bought them during a sale and for less than 100 dollars at the time I can’t complain, they sound really good to me.

I am totally impressesed of the outstanding sound and clarity. Paired up with subwoofer and a nice Yamaha receiver . Feel like thousands and thousands of dollars system. I really can turn it up ! Incredible acoustic enclosure.
