||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony - Core Series 5" 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers (Pair) - Black are a very powerful set by itself, but paired with all the Sony core series speakers and two Sony - Core Series 10" 115W Active Subwoofers - Black and the SONY STR-DN1080 is just ridiculously AMAZING.

Solid Sony Quality

I actually have an few year old car head unit running these (and the sub) in my living room an it all sounds way better than expected.

Best speakers in this price range.

I was not in the market for a new set of speakers but I saw these go on sale for 1/2 price and I could not resist. My initial setup was a set of Monitor Audio R90 with matching center (made in England version) matched to a HSU VTF-2 MK5 but I always felt that there could be a little more low end out of the front main speakers. The Sonys ended filling in all the detail that was previously missing in the low range while still being very articulate in the high range without being harsh despite have a "super" tweeter. The Core series easily keeps up with speakers going for $300-500/pair. I would say they may sound just as good at lower to moderate volumes as a set of B&W DM series that I used to own. I honestly do not think you can buy a better set of speakers under $300.,

They sound great and are pretty clear even when they get loud. I can hear every part of a song and haven't had any problems with them. I would buy these for my own home.

Along with my Sony 4K TV and my Sony Home Theater Receiver, my system is now Banging'......Love them!!

I love the sound they produce. They sound so much better than the old speakers and they take up a fraction of the space.

They were paired with the Sony 2 channel receiver and produce amazing sounds! I hooked up a turntable and was able to play all my old albums from the 1970’s. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great sound for small speakers

They have a wide frequency response for bookshelf speakers. I liked them so much that I had to return to buy the matching center speaker. Now my system is complete. I couldn't be happier.

Good Quality Speakers

They are bigger and sound better than my previous ones but not the best. They look good and can play enough sound just by the two of them for my music pleasure.
