I do a fair amount of video editing and wanted better sound for my TV and computer connected to the receiver. They are really strong on the midtones and bass which gives them a muffled low pitch sound. Can't turn the treble side up enough and when I adjust the bass side down they just don't sound good. As a back set to a home theater they might be better but as stand alone speakers there are much better. Would reccomend spending a little extra and going with the Klipsch bookshelf if you are using as stand a lone.

Really good sound for the price

The lows are a bit lacking, but hea... they are bookshelf speakers after all. For a really nice sound pair them up with a good sub and then the room will come alive.
