I found the Sony unit on sale at best buy for a price too good to ignore. I always do my research and read reviews. After I fell in love with the head unit I wanted to update my speakers as well. So I read more reviews and did more research. And found that the Sony core series 5" bookshelf speakers were the right fit for what was looking for. I haven't been let down so far.

The result was a blown internal fuse in the A/V unit that was repaired under warranty for free.

With the receiver there are a lot more connection options which I enjoy.

Great but not the best

Decent speakers great price

This isn't one of those times. These speakers are great for a beginner setup, especially if don't want to spend the money on a klipsch system. Sony is right under the big speaker names, and these speakers are great. Listen to them right next to each other in the store, the quality is amazing.
