It's a great match with the Sony 115 Watt subwoofer. I'm very satisfied. It's tricky trying to put together a nice setup if it's not already a set.

Good sounding speakers

They are loud enough in our living and have enough bass to not worry about subwoofer. It you like lound bass i would suggest getting a sub. The only negative i have is they are taller then the specs online they are 13.5 inches tall.

Best Budget Speakers?

Sony really outdid themselves with these. Get 2 pairs and the matching center and you have yourself a nice budget 5.1 home theater setup. Highly recommended.

Completed my 5.1 core series set

Sort of basic looking satin black finish on the the cabinet but overall excellent sound quality at low price/

So I went shopping, boy was I in sticker shock, I was lucky Best Buy ran a sale 20% off, $ 120.00 for them. I think a good price, they are 100 watts, my system is 345 watts but they sound great, just not above a 7 on the dial.

I was really impressed with the sound quality for as small as they are. There are better speakers out there but not for the money. These sound like much more expensive speakers than they are.
