Excellent Sound, Excellent Value

I bought these on Black Friday weekend and paid about half of retail, so the value was unbeatable. As to the sound, these pump out really well for being only 12" tall and take up little space.

Speaker - Not compatible with my stereo

My receiver is about 10 years old and only 8 Ohm, so had to bring them back to BestBuy. I bought them because of the SONY name and reputation, I'm sure they are great speakers.

These speakers are power hungry and they absolutely have to be used with a subwoofer. If you are looking for good quality stereo setup, go with Sony floorstanding speakers. They offer much better base and sound quality. I would only use these Sony bookshelves as rear surround sound speakers. I returned these and got JBL floorstanding speakers, night and day difference, but I also paid three times more money.
