A Best Buy associate spent time explaining the differences between Polk and Sony. After listening to the speakers at Best Buy I felt that the Sony Speakers were better, The price for Sony was higher than I could afford until a half off Black Friday sale made then affordable.The Sony Speakers was a good choice to replace 14 years old speakers. I no longer have to raise and lower the volume while watching a movie for when voice is too low and other audio is to high and vice versa. I have set the volume on my receiver lower with consistent audio with out having to adjust the volume while watching a movie. The Audio is awesome and there is audio in previously viewed movies that I have never heard before.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought out a whole system for just under 1k I bought an upper quality yahmaha receiver with all the bells and whistles and got the Sony tower speakers and center speaker and sub. To the review about the speakers... right out of the box one speaker works great and the other not so great I hear static. Needless to say I’m going to return the one and get another tomorrow. But over all they do exactly what I want them to do other than that small hiccup. I bought them for music tv and movies. It all sounds great but that one tower speaker that I’m going to replace/return which is the only reason why I dropped a star. Overall I’d buy them again.

I have these paired with the Sony ecosystem and the little overhead speakers that sit on top and it’s finger licking good sound that melts your world and feeds you to the ducks

They sound great for opera and rock music. For my 2 channel set up I am overly joyed. I can’t stop listening to music. I can’t speak for surround sound because It’s not my thing. I would buy these over anything in the price range of 100-400 dollars.

The sound was excellent and you could not beat the value for the price. I tested these out by playing some Roxy Music and Mott the Hopple from the 70's and relived some of the old times.
