Based off our previous purchase of a Sony camera and its ability to take good quality pictures, we purchased 2 cameras this time. One for me and one for my wife. This camera is way more high tech than our last one. Takes a lot more time to figure out how to use it. So far, so good. Still lots of work left.

this Sony DSC HX80 was a replacement for a Sony DSC-WX50 purchased at Best Buy four years prior, that i captured almost 60,000 images with, so i knew Sony could do the long haul, and I couldnt pass up the Best Buy deal for the HX80 and its 30x telephoto and pop up electronic viewfinder...great for sunny days when the main screen is overcome with glare....more than pleased with the color capture and sharpness of the images.Sony's best long range point and shoot with manual options. Images attached are originals that have been mirrored left or right half.

All my digital cameras have been Sony and I can't imagine switching. I have taken my HX-200V all over the world and love the photos, but I wanted a smaller, lighter weight camera that still had 30x zoom. This HX-80 doesn't disappoint - and, a bonus, it has a view finder (no more guessing on sunny days.) I like the way the pop up flash operates, too. I've only been playing with it so far, but won't hesitate to make it my main camera on our next trip.

Great little camera that zooms! It also does wide angle shooting. I am amazed at how much it zooms for a little camera - I was sitting about 20 yards from the humming bird feeder for the picture with the humming bird. I also allows for wide landscape pictures - or portraits. The colors are vibrant! It focuses fast - I'm still learning how to use it and am having fun learning!

I bought this camera to take on trips. I have a Sony A6000 camera and wanted a smaller camera to carry when I traveled. I love this camera. If you already own a Sony, this is almost the same setup. The one thing that impressed me the most is how well the flash works. The pictures turn out really well. It has a zoom in that is amazing.

I use a Nikon D3300 with a 300 mm lens when traveling. This time I left it at home and brought only this very small SONY. Very happy with the results.
Beware for those with large fingers and hands... the control buttons are small but they can help youndo everything a largervDSLR will do.

For something that fits in your pocket, it's a great little camera. IQ not great for indoors and wish I had paid a little more for the model that had manual focus, but it's nice to have a long zoom and an electronic viewfinder. The camera on my phone's better for indoor and close-ups, but this has its uses.

Works great. Quality build, quality lens and sensor. The image quality is excellent from close-up to long distance. Has all the features and options you'll need on a bridge camera. The electronic viewfinder is clear and displays all the relevant information you'll need. I've been very satisfied with the camera and the image quality (see included picture).

This is a great little camera. Photo quality is great for its small size. I was able to take a picture of the moon standing outside my front door. I was amazed with the detail the camera captured. Amazing zoom capabilities for its small size.

It is a great camera for outside shoot. It makes good quality photos even in a big distance from objects. I got the camera for outside shoots and love it.
It doesn't have that good quality with indoor photos if there is no enough lighting. I have another camera for that, but it is not that fast, like Sony is.

Good Camera for Cheap Price

Considering that this camera is at the price it is, the quality is actually very nice! It takes nice, crisp photos if you are aware of how to work the settings properly. It is a pretty decent vlogging camera as well. The mic is not the best by itself, but I would assume you could purchase additional accessories if you plan on using this camera as a beginner vlogging camera. The mic can pic up sounds, but if you are too far from the mic, it won't pic up sound well. Overall, it is a super nice, cheap camera considering there are cameras out there that are $1000 plus.

Great camera. I use this for my vehicle inspections. I get it with the 3 year warranty. Second camera I got of this model. Just like everything else I get at Best Buy, great deals and warranty plans!

A really small camera for the benefits it provides. Folding screen up to 180º of 3 ". Electronic viewfinder Flash. 30X Zeiss lens with a reasonable aperture. Excellent optical image stabilization. The photos are sharp and colorful, very nice, as long as we do not look at the pixel level. It degrade In low light, the same as the stability of the autofocus, but with that zoom size the most likely use is outdoors Excellent video, but not the quality of the photos One single objection: It has two zoom speeds during the video , but the slowest one is not slow enough (it does not introduce noise in the video).

This is a good all around quick focus high megapixel camera. I like the various WiFi options. Camera has a lot of special setting modes and takes very good photos. The batteries charge fairly fast and work off a charger USB type or the car. The on / off button is recessed and easy to activate but does not get turned on accidentally. The zoom works fast. Rear screen is clear. Controls are well marked but symbols are on the small size so if you wear glasses you will most likely need them on to operate.

It's more coat-pocket-sized, but with its 30x optical zoom and Zeiss lens, this camera is great for quickly-framed "street" photography. Many of my photos are scenes I see from my bike and need to capture as quickly as I can stop, and this camera has been great at that.
