Amazing lil camera! Used it for concerts so I don't have to worry about photopasses~ Was nice to always have on me too since it doesnt weigh much

I bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas. The zoom Is amazing, the picture quality is phenomenal. Highly recommend if you want great zoom And great picture quality out of a smaller camera.

I've been eyeing this camera for a long time, I finally bought it solely for concert photography. Let me tell you, ITS PERFORMANCE IS TOPNOTCH! I'm a beginner with little knowledge about photography but I GOT A LOT OF COMPLIMENTS WITH MY SHOTS! So happy I made this purchase.

Good camera- a bit pricey though. Great zoom range 24-200. Not so great in low light. Af works pretty well. This camera came out in 2019. What surprises me is there has not been anything better to replace it. I looked quite extensively and it seems to be in a class of it's own. It is quite small and capable. Battery does not last too long so a spare is almost a must. Lots of great control as well. Can shoot manual, program, Shutter or Aperture priority as well as other choices. I only wish there was something more up to date tech wise. 6 years (2019 intro) is a very long time in the world of digital photography. So I guess if there really isn't anything else comparable I would recommend it. It does seem to be in high demand as it seems to be sold out nearly everywhere.

I bough this very expensive camera for traveling. It broke at our second trip in February within warranty year. Best Buy said I had to go to a Sony repair center. When I went the camera didn't show the defective issue so they sent me away. This is my second trip with the camera after 1 year and 5 days and the camera is broken again. On the screen it says to restart the camera but it doesnt and the lens doesn't retract and camera does not work.. I really hope when I come back home that they will honor the warranty but considering the reaction at my visit I am worried that they could not.. We will see how serious they are.. But 1 star max on this camera reliability!!

I just bought the Sony RX100 VII and after trying out all the features I’m very impressed. First the good. This camera has literally everything I want in a point and shoot: 20MP, 28mm wide angle, excellent autofocus, amazing picture quality, great optical zoom, external mic input, 4K video, an excellent Zeiss lens and a size that will easily fit in my pocket for travel. Now two negatives: 1) The price. For me it’s worth it, but $1200.00 is a lot to pay for a point and shoot. 2) The supporting software. I’m a Mac user and most of Sony’s supporting software does not work at all on Mac Catalina (10.15). The Windows software is abysmal as well. Example: the Sony PlayMemories, which is the main software for importing photos and videos, simply does not install on Catalina. I’d love to transfer my images wirelessly to the Mac, but so far, no luck. I’m not sure if the installation & support instructions are just poorly written, but after several hours of struggle I gave up. Since I usually transfer my images via USB or SD card, this is not a huge deal for me. The rest of the camera works flawlessly. Hopefully they will provide Catalina support before the next OS comes out! I really appreciate the Sony’s quick autofocus after returning a brand-new Canon G7X MIII. The G7X MIII has a fatal problem with video autofocus which even a firmware update could not fix. There are many posts on YouTube about this. I was a real Canon fan up to this point, but not anymore. So bottom line, even with the price and software issues, this Sony RX100 VII is exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend.

I picked up the RX100 VII a little while ago and I’m super impressed. For such a small camera, it takes amazing photos—super sharp, great colors, and it even does well in low light. The zoom lens is awesome too, I can go from wide shots to close-ups without needing to carry extra gear. The autofocus is crazy fast. I take a lot of pics of my kids and it locks onto their eyes instantly, which means I don’t miss those quick moments anymore. I’ve also used it for some video and the 4K looks really clean, plus the image stabilization makes handheld clips look smooth. It’s not cheap, and the menus take a little getting used to, but honestly the quality you get out of such a tiny camera makes it worth it. I love that it just slips into my pocket but still feels like I’m carrying a “real” camera. If you’re looking for a travel-friendly camera that delivers pro-level results without the bulk, this one is hard to beat.

This camera is the absolute best camera in the point and shoot camera and easily puts the G7 X Mark III to shame on what that could have been. Granted both are premium but different price categories still the auto focus on this is well worth the price difference and the quality of the menus feels like a pro would easily enjoy with so much customization its nonstop of potential. When I invested in this for Our Micro Family vlog I thought noway would this be amazing but it really grabbed me and proved me wrong. The thing that I love most is that I have power of a 24 mm lens and all way out to a 200 mm zoom which is great. The 4k recording does not overheat after five minutes but instead around 30 minutes which is nice. Now onto the bad side, there is no wall charger in the box and that is a 49 dollar optional addon. YES that is correct me, Ryan the one who complains about everything can only complain about that. So call that a major victory for Sony.

I hate expensive phones because I don't use any of the features except for the camera and I don't like technology that is meant to die in under 3 years. I decided to buy this camera and get a super cheap phone and I am very pleased with the decision after a month of heavy usage. I am a casual photographer with young children and the difference in the quality of my photos versus an iPhone is night and day. The shutter speed difference is huge for capturing kids that are always on the move and the sports feature has captured some heirloom quality shots of playtime. I also like that these photos don't automatically look "edited and optimized" like photos taken on an iPhone-- they look like real life. Size wise, I am able to fit this in my pocket or a small purse. Getting photos off the camera and onto my phone is easily and quickly accomplished over WiFi and I do a big dump onto a computer every month or so. I know that I will be using this camera for years to come.

This camera has everything you would want in a point and shoot plus so much more. Easily fits in pocket or purse. Has automatic and manual settings that allow for artistic shots. Fast and accurate auto focus and frames per second. Zoom out to 200mm. Awesome. Only thing is no grip and easy to hit the video button.

Still one of the best compact cameras on the market, no other camera with that size can give you that optical range, battery could be better, but picture quality is fantastic and sometimes I want to use this camera instead of "big" Sony A7iv. I wish Sony introduced a new gen with most recent features...

This is the one camera to have when you’re on the go and what to get better images that what your smartphone may offer. Super compact and pocketable. Small enough that I had to add the available Sony grip accessory to to get a better grip on it (highly recommended). The one inch sensor produces terrific Images have good resolution and color depth. The zoom lens has a practical range. I owned 4 different lumix compact cameras before this and their focus wasn’t always reliable. The RX has a superior focus system and holds its own even in low light. The viewfinder is an amazing piece of engineering in a small footprint like this. Very handy in bright daylight when the lcd screen can get a little harder to view. Taking high quality, 4K videos is a breeze. It’s nice that you can use the zoom when you shoot video. Much harder to do that with a smart phone and no available with a GoPro. The automated settings are pretty reliable to get the shots I need but it also has a full range of control options when you need it. The LCD display articulates to take the occasional selfie of high or low shot. - which make the camera ever more flexible as you wander in search of those great pics. Low likely performance is perfectly acceptable - try get decent resolution in a reasonable lit room. I have never had to use the available flash (that’s also a little marvel of engineering). The camera has a solid feel and is well constructed. All metal and everything feels pretty robust. No protruding buttons so it’s doesn’t accidentally turn on etc. The batteries are small pretty so battery life is constrained. I have three spare units so I can get a full days worth of shooting video and about 100 shots. Most camera reviews reset the Sony RX100 vi as the best travel camera to own. I would definitely second that. If you want to travel light don’t trust those travel pictures to anything else.

This camera is incredible for its size. Great sound on video from the recording mike. The zoom is terrific. Highly recommend it.

This is the perfect camera for me. It fits in my pocket but is very powerful. The lens has good zoom and close up performance. I needed 4K video and the RX100 delivers. The 20 MP photos look great! I love the fast auto-focus and the ring around the lens which I use to adjust f-stop. I've only used the flash a few times but it is nice to have when you need it. I'm very happy with the adjustable LCD screen which, for me, is the biggest difference between shooting with this vs a phone. I don't use the viewfinder but might if it is too bright outside. My only complaint is that the movie button is too small. Sometimes it does not start recording and other times the camera is recording by accident. This can be solved by using the Sony - Vlogger Accessory Kit which has a nice large record button and controls the camera via Bluetooth. I also bought extra batteries because I use a lot of juice shooting videos.
