      Hi ClaudiaG,
Sony commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority.
Thank you for sharing your feedback about the DSCRX100M7 camera. We are glad to hear that you found it a good camera. The recordable movie times depend on shooting conditions and memory card used. The recording may also be stopping and going back to Standby mode maybe because the Movie button is inadvertently being pressed while recording. We suggest you contact our phone support at 239-245-6360 for further troubleshooting.

Like compactness of this camera and eaze of use despite. the display tilt up pictures helps with selfies. App to control camera remotely feels a bit clunky but works. not having a macro lens :)

Extremely disappointed I ordered this camera to my daughter by helping and providing brief explanations by Best Buy experts and he is absolutely sure the camera is available and will send to my mail address. After a month, it is out of stock but they charge me . The return service is super stupid . Finally, I create a dispute transaction and takes time and I got my money back. The worst company in the planet!!!

I was really excited about this camera based on specs, but in practice its just another point and shoot. I used it for a bit and was really under impressed with its depth of field at 2.8 (likely because off the small sensor) and adding zoom didn't help much. Articulating screen is nice and the menu is fairly intuitive, but for the images I ended up with the price was not worth it.

I bought this camera to use with my LiveU. It was supposed to be a camera that would work, and it did not. I decided to just use it as a secondary video camera for interviews. I have only used it twice and I went to use it yesterday and I keep geting an error. I hope its under warranty

Camera is good but body is too fragile

I have not had the camera but a few months I bumped the front of the camera and the cover around the lense dented causing the lense cover to stick and not close or open. The lense cover is thin and not strong enough to properly protect the camera. The metal is like a tin can and dents very easily the pain flakes off and also chips off very easily. For the high price of this camera is you are at all active the camera for me is falling apart too easily. I sent to have fixed under warranty and because of the dents and chipped paint sony would not warranty the camera they are charging me 360. to repair the lens cover. for the price I paid the camera should be bullet proof strong the camera is too fragile and apt to have problems and for over a thousand dollars the camera is falling apart after 3 months of use.

    Camera Viewfinder had SCANLINES

I bought this camera upgrading from an RX100VI for the mic jack, and immediately noticed the viewfinder had horrible scanlines. I checked if these persisted when viewing static objects such as the menu, and they did. My RX100VI had nothing like this. If you look up this issue on Reddit, there are supposedly a large number of other users who have RX100 VII units with this same defect.

I have been using various Sony cameras for probably 10 years. I recently had to send my Sony HX400V for repairs because it wasn't focusing correctly and the Finder/Monitor function was not working correctly. - I have an upcoming trip, so I decided to purchase a smaller Sony camera to have as a backup. This camera is quite expensive but I liked the size and since the controls were basically the same as my other Sony camera, I bought it. - The day it came I charged up the battery and decided to give it a try around the house. 1. Macros were not as good as I expected. I could not get as close as advertised and I had to tilt the camera just right to get them to focus. 2. Panoramic shots were VERY narrow. 3. Within about 1 hr of taking pictures. Starting and stopping the camera, the camera became hot. I had read online that many people had problems with the camera heating up within 5 min of taking 4K video, but I hadn't taken any video.... just still shots. It wouldn't be good to be on a trip and out on an excursion and have the camera heating up so quickly. - For $1,299, I expected much more. I took the camera back the same day.
