It can produce high quality pictures and video. Get an extra battery or two if you plan on a lot of video. Zoom and focusing features make it a great camera. Get the leather case it makes carrying the camera easy.

Terrific for travel!

It's extra small and lightweight...the perfect all around camera for travel when you don't want to pack a bunch of heavy equipment. You won't be disappointed. Although it's a bit on the expensive side so I have rated the value down a notch.

Excellent photos. Very portable and once you figure out the download process, fairly quick to download photos to your iPhone/iPad. Would highly recommend except the price seems way high for older technology.

This little fella with its small size, 200 mm zoom and 2.8 lens is perfect! You can put it in your pocket or hang it off your belt in a small case. Pop in a couple of extra batteries and you're set for the day. It makes great pictures and video to document your activities. It is pricey but as I've found over the years you get what you pay for. This is my 2nd in the RX100 line and it is an excellent alternative to carrying your dslr gear.
