I bought this specifically for a trip abroad. A few pics in Croatia. Also, got a picture of my family at the zoo. Perfect for any occasion. I bought a case from amazon because I dropped it a few times. It only got scuffed.

Great pocket camera

I already had a Sony phone, so I decided to stay with Sony and buy this camera. So far so good, but now I want to upgrade to an interchangeable lens camera!

Breaking camera and VERY poor assistance

It broke at our second trip in February within warranty year. Best Buy said I had to go to a Sony repair center. When I went the camera didn't show the defective issue so they sent me away. This is my second trip with the camera after 1 year and 5 days and the camera is broken again. On the screen it says to restart the camera but it doesnt and the lens doesn't retract and camera does not work.. I really hope when I come back home that they will honor the warranty but considering the reaction at my visit I am worried that they could not.. We will see how serious they are.. But 1 star max on this camera reliability!!

Af works pretty well. This camera came out in 2019. What surprises me is there has not been anything better to replace it. I looked quite extensively and it seems to be in a class of it's own. It is quite small and capable. Battery does not last too long so a spare is almost a must. Lots of great control as well. Can shoot manual, program, Shutter or Aperture priority as well as other choices. I only wish there was something more up to date tech wise. 6 years (2019 intro) is a very long time in the world of digital photography. So I guess if there really isn't anything else comparable I would recommend it. It does seem to be in high demand as it seems to be sold out nearly everywhere.

The image quality is excellent for such a small camera, and it’s very easy to carry around since it fits in my pocket. It’s great for everyday use, travel, and content creation. The autofocus is fast, and photos and videos come out sharp and clear. The battery life could be better, and the menu system takes some time to get used to, but overall it’s a very solid camera. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a compact camera with high-quality performance.

The zoom is versatile, autofocus is fast, and video quality looks clean and professional. It’s great for travel, everyday photos, and even casual video content.
