It seems to use batteries fast however. I get a low batt alert after about 6-8 hours or recordings. It is very sound sensitive and records even the lowest voice. I am very happy with it and i love that you can plug it directly into your computer to download but you may be able to get the same things on a cheaper model.

Almost perfect

I used it for interviews and it worked a treat. The only disappointment was trying to record telephone conversations. The local voice was fine but the remote voice was too weak. I can't blame the recorder for this, just one use that I planned for it that isn't going to work.

I listened to the first thing I recorded on the "speaker" on the recorder and thought it was horrible. I moved the file to my computer and the sound was fine. Not surprising that a tiny speaker in a very small device isn't very good once you think about it. It would probably be fine with ear buds. I haven't tried that yet.
