My old recorder was in great shape....but finding cassettes was no easy task. I resented having to purchase this recorder but I'm SO glad that I decided to enter the 21st Century! Not only do I have no need for cassettes, I can put the recordings on my PC for easy playback. I love this item!

Bought this for a co-worker to use and doubt they will be able to use it without help. Not intuitive, he will have to look up manual and doubt he'll do it. I love Sony products but this one is not of one their best efforts. If I have to buy another recorder for an office mate, I will get an Olympus so I don't have to spend time continuing to show them how to use it.

The storage from the jump is unique and very needed. I haven't purchased a SD card yet, but I recorded an estimated 11 thoughts and I can still do more and also link it up to my desk top and dump it.
