Very helpful product.. The price is a little expensive for a small little thing but I can't complain I guess. Sound quality could be a little better but .. Hopefully u pay more the better it is.

Average Voice Recorder

I had higher expectations just because of the brand name (Sony). When listening to the recording, it's not as clear as I thought it would be. Also, it needs better, more detailed instructions.

A cheap very functional recorder

I just got this to record lectures in classes during which I otherwise tend to zone out. It will also be used this summer during extended travels for capturing my mental notes as I explore new places but don't have time or the will to pull out pen and paper and jot down my thoughts.

When I had to upgrade my laptop, the Olympus decided to become balky about when it would agree to download content to the laptop -- part of my needs. The Sony is not as intuitive for selecting settings and finding what folder things are in, but I'm especially happy with good interface with the laptop.
