By brand and by product SONY is perfect. The Camera is compact for travelers, and best quality of pictures.

I was incredibly disappointed by this camera. Sony Cybershots have always been my camera of choice. Nothing fancy, just the base model, but that's always been more than enough to take beautiful pictures that captured my most treasured moments. So when I bought the newest model, I was confused and disappointed by the results. At first, I was sure I was just doing something wrong, but after a couple weeks, then months, I realized that Sony has just cheapened the camera that I loved so much. The focus is shaky, the resolution is grainy, the way it takes in light is funky. It is very hard to take a clear picture with this thing. I bought the three year warranty, but returns are only allowed within the first 15 days, so I'm stuck with a disappointing $120 camera that just sits in my drawer because my phone takes better pictures. I would LOVE to go back to an older model of the Cybershot, but they're not available. So if you, too, are a Cybershot lover, be warned that this camera does not hold the standard of past Cybershot cameras.

I got it for my parents for Christmas and they love it.

Works great. Does take a few seconds when you take the picture. Have to watch the focus on it.

My husband needed a basic easy to understand camera with good zoom and fast shutter speed. This suits him just fine. Easy to use.

Wanted something small and inexpensive for vacation

This was the worst purchase I have ever made. The shutter speed is extremely slow, so it is very hard to capture photos that are not blurry. And if you use the flash, the photo is still blurry. The camera cannot capture photos in anything other than very bright outdoor sunlight. Using flash indoor makes photos very, very blurry. Most all photos are worse than a flip phone. Since the camera is very light and small, it is easy for the camera to shake when taking photos with one hand. I would recommend spending a little bit more and getting a better camera. This one will be thrown away.

The camera is VERY SLOW. When you take photos, it's takes a LONG TIME to process and show on the screen. And even when you are in the process of TAKING photos, the SHUTTER SPEED IS VERY SLOW, and you find that you CANNOT take pictures in a hurry. Even when you TURN ON the camera, it takes a while to get to the front screen. I guess you get what you pay for...

Purchased the camera due to the fact my Nikon and Canon cameras broke with no explanation. So I went back to the trusty SONY camera. So far the pictures have been great.

I bought this product from best buy after reading many reviews. I took about 1000 photos over 10 days, and on the 10th day of owning this camera the camera flash stopped working. The flash malfunction (error message E:91:01) is a long standing malfunction in Sony cameras, and it still has not been resolved. The camera flash will never work again. Gave the product 2 stars instead of 1, because the photos (while not using flash) turn out fine, but the fact that the camera broke within 10-days of use is ridiculous. DO NOT recommend going with this product or Sony due to the unresolved, common error.

Biggest problem is the lens curtain sticks and will not open,so you have to open it with your fingers. Camera options in the menu is just OK. Picture quality is OK

Poor camera. Will not focus well at close range less than 3". Lens is good, but the MACRO mode keeps changing automatically. I don't recommend this.

this camera stopped working after only 3 weeks of service on an overseas trip. Lost the opportunity to take photos during the last part of my trip. The lens got stuck in open position and has been collecting dust. Sony says they will "repair" this piece of junk, ha ha... The least they should do is to replace it! This purchase was a waste of money.

90% of the photo I take with this camera are blurry/ or out of focus. I have had several digital cameras and this has been the worst. My 2 MP Kodak took much better pics, Will never buy another Sony camera.
