I am very picky about earbuds performance and fit, having used scores of headsets in the past from working in the broadcasting industry for over 40 years. For me, earbuds' weaknesses are fit (particularly while exercising like running), faithful sound reproduction and workmanship, particularly with poor electrical connections at the plug. Loose wiring killed off my Sennheisers so I decided to return to Sony. I was influenced by the reviews below from deaconblue5 and Trey, which both reference performance and fit. I now fully agree with their reviews. These Sonys have superb full-range performance, plenty of volume capability and several extra rubber earpieces of different sizes. My right ear passage is smaller than my left so I've always had a problem of the right earbud falling out during treadmill work. No more. I swapped out the right earpiece for one of the smaller ones included in the packaging for perfect fit. That's huge for me. I don't know yet on how well-built the plug is yet - that's the part that always breaks first for me - but I trust Sony's workmanship over other manufacturers. Very glad to have these earbuds. Price is well worth the investment.

I've had a number of different headphone brands in the past, including Klipsch, Sennheiser, Phillips and Sony, so when looking for a new pair, I do a lot of research. For the price, you can't beat these. I wanted something with a full tonal range, but with a mic/control button, and I definitely did not want an asymmetrical cord. These fit the bill, and with so many positive reviews, I gave them a try, and I don't regret it. Sony, to me, has always had good sound - I'm definitely not an audiophile/music snob - and that continues here. The sound is full and clear, and the controls are easy to use. Personally I prefer the standard black color, but for those who don't, they come in red and blue as well. I've never regretted choosing Sony.

Great sound quality and a noticeable difference compared to cheaper earbuds. Delivers good bass without distorting the sound. I was able to hear subtle details in certain songs that I wasn't able to hear with other earbuds. Great value.

I have never owned headphones worth more than 20 bucks but I must say these headphones have a pretty good bass kick. Also first time getting noise cancelling too. I was shocked on how well it kept the noise out. I'm actually scared to put both earbuds in lol.

This Sony MDRXB50 earbud is on of the best, rich bass & sound great when compare to the other expansive ones. It also come with extra plastic cover and different size for the earbud. In addition, it also has microphone, the price is acceptable. I bought one for me a couple years ago and I recently buy another one for someone who likes mine. I would recommend this earbud.

Love listening to music and watching movies on my phone or tablet. It seems you can hear every single detail with these headphones. The packaging says Xtra Bass and they mean it. These don't disappoint. I totally recommend them for any movie or music lover.

For a mid price level set of ear buds, they provide great sound, and noise cancellation. As well as they down seem to fall out of the ear compared to other earbuds. Also the bass levels for these buds is pretty great. You can feel it in your ears, not just hear it.

I really like these earbuds. The sound far exceeded my expectations and at $50 ($60 something with 2 year insurance) I didn't think they'd be as good as my sister's Beats earbuds. They scratched up a tiny bit since I got them a little over two weeks ago but personally it doesn't bother me. They are a little bigger than my last $25 Sony earbuds but I figured the bigger size helps create deep bass that I love! I especially love the clarity of the instruments; guitar, drums, and especially the piano! They don't fall out of my ears but they get a little uncomfortable if I wear them for a long time I usually only use them for about thirty to forty five minutes at a time. Overall I am very satisfied as they fit my needs.

These headphones are pretty good for the price when they are on sale. They do have a little more bass than your average headphones and they fit good in my ears.I prefer wireless headphones most of the time but still use these quite a bit.

These ear buds are awesome for people that like lots of bass in their music. With three ear cushion sizes, it's easy to get a good, personal fit so that they aren't falling out all the time.

I bought these hoping to replace Apple headphones. They bass was great on these Sony headphones but they only have volume control. I was hoping to be able pause and skip tracks like with Apple headphones. If that isn't important to you..they seem pretty good.

These earbuds blew my mind, they have a decent comfort, great sound, and they can really block outside noise. They come with a pouch for easy transportation which is great. They do get a bit uncomfortable but after a long time. Overall it's a great pair of earbuds

They are really good with a deep base sound and you can were them for for a long time. The mic is sensitive enough and the person in the other side of the line can hear you well. It's a SONY.

Have had these for almost a year now without any problems.. no loss of quality and still going strong. I was hesitant to spend $30 (price reduced) on a pair of earphones.. since I always opted for $10 dollar ones but once I made the change there was no going back.. The excellent sound quality (good bass) and comfort is worth spending the extra money.. Once these break (I doubt it will be any time soon unless I step on them or something) I will go back to bestbuy and buy another pair.

These earbud headphone are indeed the best headphone I have ever owned. The quality crystal clear, great comfort-these earbuds fits well in your ears, and great price (found it on sale) ), best investment for headphone!

If you want good quility sound and you are quite short in your budget, indeed this is your first option. I compare the sound with Beat and Bose and the quility sound is quite similar to the beat but way less expensive.

Bought these for my wife. I already own a pair! For the sale price under $30 I believe they are the best buy on the market. Loads of bass, highs are crisp and mids are clear. Very sturdy and they seal nicely in the ear.

I got these earbuds recently and couldn't be happier. Amazon had them cheaper, but the great people of Best Buy came through! Amazing sound with deep Bass that everyone craves. The Bass doesn't over drown your music which is what I LOVE the most!

These earbuds are an amazing value considering they have a crisp and clear sound that is comparable to those costing 2-3 times as much. Also, the bass is perfect and overall well balanced. Definitely a great value and highly recommended!

I bought these earbuds not expecting to much for the price. I was very wrong. These sound very good and love the bass. If you want a set that is budget friendly and sound good with bass these are should be your pick.
