clear sound, excellent bass. comfortable to wear. great buy.

These headphones have a great mic. Their sound is very crisp and the bass is impressive for the cost. You don't have to crank them up to hear the bass well. They are what we were looking for and at a great price.

Use them for work and they block out all the sound of the everyday office.. Sounds good and clear the bass sounds really good just depends on the song. Haven't used them as a phone head piece but I'm sure they work great that way too. Thy look and feel great as well. I have the black ones wanted the blue but not that bold.. Haha

I was surprised on how great these Sony ear buds sounded and they were at a great price $40. Usually other products say extra bass or loud bass and they fall short of that but these Sony ear buds are true to their word. I highly recommend them to anyone that is not wanting to spend a lot of money and get a good pair of ear buds.

I LOVE these earbuds! They are reasonably priced, have GREAT sound, are comfortable, and come with a handy little pouch for storing. I received my original pair from my dad as a gift and loved them What happened to the original pair? Well, one day while I was at work, my kitty managed to somehow open the drawstring pouch and started chewing on the wires of the earbuds. I wasn't sure whether to be upset or amused! But either way, they were damaged beyond repair, so I had to buy a new pair

so i've had this product a couple weeks now and feel that these earplugs are definitely a great buy for me. I literally use these about 2-3 hours every day of my work-week, so they definitely hold up to their name. the only downfall is that they do not have a volume button that would be better suited for anyone that keeps their music device in their pockets and not on an arm band or otherwise. all in all, this is a great product and i would definitely advice anyone who's willing to find an earplug for daily use. great quality, great sound at a great price....can't beat that!

Good bass. Clear sound. Comfortable. Easy to store.

I have own many earbud headphones and I think this is the one that is worth more than its price. It's loud, has a great sounding bass. It is much better than the stock Apple earbuds that comes with my iPhone and in my opinion better sounding than Bose or Beats

My main pair of headphones are a set of Audio-Technica M50's, so any set of headphones I buy in addition always have the inevitable comparison. I needed a set of earbuds for work so I didn't have to lug the M50's to work anymore. Obviously they're not the most portable set of headphones in existence. So I saw these earbuds on sale at Best Buy on sale, and after a couple hours of research, I pulled the trigger. They definitely sound good in conjunction with my Lg G3 phone and some high quality flac files/320 kbps mp3 files. They have pretty good bass, not too overpowering, but they are capable of hitting really deep lows for earbuds. I found the mids to be a bit recessed, but a slight EQ adjustment takes care of that. It only needs a slight bump to reach acceptable levels. The highs are pretty good as well even with a flat EQ setting. Overall, these earbud have become my daily drivers and I'm very happy with the overall sound. I'm pretty picky and have bought and shelved many sets of headphones over the last few years. The price to performance ratio of these is really the selling point of this particular set of Sony earbuds. You really can't go wrong for the price. Sony has a reputation for great sound and build quality and these don't disappoint.

I bought a pair to run with and I will say flat out they are a bit heavy to run with and the cord makes a lot of noise. However, they do make a great pair of headphones for everyday listening and work well with my phone. Great balance of treble and bass and they do block out a decent amount of noise.

Was expecting more bass given the reviews. That's why I bought them so I was a little disillusioned. But they fit in my ears nicely and I like how they seal out a lot of outside noise so I can hear my music instead of my lawn mower. There are better headphones out there but, for the price, I'm happy.

Not a bad pair of earbuds. I have been a long time user of Sony and wanted a pair just to workout. These fit the bill. It's long enough that I can attach my phone to my hip and not worry about it coming off my ear. Great sound. I go to a gym and the music in there is loud and these block it all out. I'd buy again.

These headphones have excellent quality of sound and also a booming bass vibe that enhances you're listening experience. I like them so much that when somebody stole my first pair, I went right out and bought a second pair. I like them better than my beats by dre, as the quality of sound is much better.

Excellent sounds for phone calls. I can hear and be heard very clearly, with no issues. The music music sounds are very good, with a strong bass. A music perfectionist might not satisfied. I also use them for video/movie watching on my chrome book. I find the extra bass great for movies! The ear plugs fit nice, and block out a lot of the outside sounds. The cord feels like quality, nicely thick, and hard to tangle. Above all, it's a Sony! I have never been disappointed with their products.

I wanted a good pair of headphones to attend office meetings and listening to music while working, and this headphone served the purpose with excellent sound quality and the best mic anyone can ask for. After tried and using several other headphones before this I am sure to say that this one is best so far in terms of comfort, quality, and aesthetics. Sony produces the best sound quality in each of their devices and they did their best job in this product from manufacturing to packaging and even in pricing!

These earphones give great bass and sound good. The only thing I really don't like is that there is no volume control on the cord like I have grown accustomed to on the itunes earbuds. I still may go back and buy the white ones that apple makes.

This is going to be short and sweet. The MDR-XB50AP are excellent in-ear headphones. Although a bit heavy due to the 12mm drivers and over-sized bass port, they are actually comfortable and won't slip out easily. The cord is tangle-free and sturdy with a 90 angle connector. But that sound... That's where these babies shine. The mids are very distinguishable and the highs are very clear and not piercing. But it's all about that bass... OMG they boom. Although great for EDM or pop music, they are a pleasure to listen even for classical and live music. And for the price, they're a steal. Highly recommended -go get them!

This was the last - " i'll try anything at this point" - set of headphones. I went through JBL. , Yurbuds, and a few others before choosing Sony. I was totally surprised by the clarity and heavy bass from this pair. Not to mention the cancelling of noise in the background. These are a steal.

I bought the red ones and like them so much I bought the Black & Blue. I would have bought the White & Yellow but you can only get them from japan as far as I knew..Love the sound and fit and of course ..the Look. Good Job Sony.
