Sony’s most versatile and smallest mic!

I upgraded to the ECMM1 and I am amazed at how versatile and effective it is for a run-and-gun camera setup. The variable pickup patterns and noise reduction make this an incredibly useful mic. And it’s tiny! Absolutely buy it.

My Sony ECM-M1 experience

I used the mic as my primary audio source on a recent shoot and it worked flawlessly. I love the fact that it records four channels of audio. I ended up needing to use the safety channel on a couple of clips because there was loud ambient audio and it worked great. It works as advertised.

Great shotgun mic for Sony cameras

Especially for vlogging, however if you're looking for the best quality and not walking around with it, then you may be better off with a shotgun or dji mic 2.
