It is really unfortunate to hear our XB13 did not live up to your expectations and that it had to be returned. The loudness as well as the sound quality of this speaker will depends on the source that you're playing and audio device that you are using. Also, take note that sound becomes low while in use when the rechargeable built-in battery is running low as a result of long-time use of the speaker at a loud volume even though the speaker was connected to an AC outlet by a USB AC adaptor. The SRS-XB13 can also be paired with another SRS-XB13 if you want an even bigger sound.
We appreciate you and your feedback, and we are hoping you will consider Sony again in your future purchase!

Loud Little Speaker

It quickly became the life of the celebration. I was amazed by the powerful volume and quality this small device produces. It easily connects via Bluetooth and, when fully charged, provides hours of entertainment. I gave my siblings each one at Christmas. Both of them use it at the beach and have no issues with it.

Although it does produce good bass, it is not loud. Unfortunately, I threw out the box & therefore unable to return the unit. It was a huge disappointment

When I wash dishes I can barely hear what’s being said. The sound quality is great (meaning no static or anything) and I love the size and look of it but I’m going to return it.

I used two of these in a banquet hall which can seat up to 80 people and you could hear them very well. I actually had to turn it down because they were so loud.

I'm glad I gave it a chance! It has excellent bass, excellent quality, and I'm very happy with it. I purchased it for OT in my office, I sit it halfway between my co-worker and me so we can both rock out. The bass is so good I have to put a blanket under it so it doesn't rattle the metal on my desk.
