I’ve been looking for a speaker like this for the better part of 2 years. My asks we’re pretty simple. I wanted a small water resistant speaker with good sound that charges via USB-C. You’d think that wouldn’t be too much to ask, but nothing I’ve found so far has checked all those boxes. Until now. These speakers sound great, are the perfect size, charge via USB-C, and come in some really classy colors. All for a very reasonable price compared to their competition. Additionally, I have owned the previous version of this exact speaker for years and I’m happy to report that while this one is a little bigger overall, the new strap it comes with is awesome, it feels way higher quality, and it sounds MUCH better. Way more clear and the bass still kicks without being as muddy as the old one. They perfected it with this model. Get one.

Excellent compact speaker; nice sound; easy to use. Charge it completely before first use--- takes about 4 hours for complete charge: DO IT. After that, it is easy to connect to device. I love the size too. Price was good. I do recommend it.

I use these speakers everywhere. I originally purchased them to use on the new boat because I didn't want to cut any speaker holes. I purchased two because they link together and work in stereo mode. I just pace them in the front cupholders and they provide all the sound I could ever need and the quality is fantastic. The speakers are weatherproof and I have been using them for over two years. I bring them on vacation and to outdoor and indoor events. I use them on the beach all the time. The Bluetooth works great with my phone. I would buy these again

Tiny size great sound. I use ot in the backyard it is perfect for not waking up the neighbors at the same time enjoying music with friends. Works perfectly

This portable speaker is good to listen nearby while working, cooking or at outdoor. The quality of the speaker is and the bass is awesome. Easy to carry. Once charged, the battery last for longer time to play.

Sounds is great for clipping it on a bag for hiking, or close to body listen without disturbing others. Has held up well. It can get washed out if you take to beach on high wind days. Battery has lasted awhile too.

It was an amazing speaker i took it with me everywhere the battery life is amazing its very loud and it so small so its not a problem i especially loved using it in the shower

I love my Sony SRS XB-13 bluetooth speakers. Got them at a discounted price $40. Value for my money. Its been close to a year of using them. - They has excellent battery life. - in built microphone, so can be used for phone calls while listening to videos/music. - sound quality of very good. - This is helpful when working from home. I don't have to wear earphones/headphones through put the day. I use them for my online meetings and never had any problem with sound quality. - range is decent. - solid build quality. They fell numerously but no damage to sound quality. Buy two and pair them to get surround sound feeling of a theatre system.

For it’s size, it’s well worth it! The sound is loud and crisp. First few uses, I took it to the lake and not only did it run for 7 1/2 hours straight with no interruptions but it could be heard from 2 neighboring picnic tables and I was afraid when it was outside it would not be loud enough. But boy was I wrong! The fact that it lasted soonh without charging and I still took it home and had it playing in the bathroom for almost 2 hours, says a lot for this little thing! I highly recommend it for the price! It was meant for when I kayak and to keep in my bathroom and I couldn’t be more pleased!

I really love this little speaker. It sounds really great for its size. And, the bass is similar to other bigger speakers. Nice looking in taupe. And the removable strap lets you hand the speaker from a towel rack while listening in the bathroom, for example. Easily connects to my devices via Bluetooth. Battery life is very long. I only charged it once and listened for several hours over several days while away on vacation. Definitely a nice purchase for a very reasonable price.

I bought this for my 8yo MacBook Pro when the speakers started going because swapping those speakers is rocket surgery. It’s louder than the stock mid-2014 speakers and the microphone is clearer. The battery lasts pretty long, but if you forget to charge it you can use it while it’s plugged in. It also fits nicely in a backpack. This was built for budget/portability and it delivers on both. My family uses it for video calls and playing the Sims, and it does music a bit better than iPhone speaker quality. If you want more than that, don’t expect miracles despite the “Extra Bass” moniker. We are all bound by the laws of physics.

I had never had a bluetooth speaker before--I normally stick with headphones. I had a wired speaker previously (for working around the house) but my device with a headphone jack stopped working. In comparison to that speaker, this one is much clearer. I'm so pleased that I can leave my device in another room and just carry this speaker with me when I pick up to do chores in another area. Volume is limited to my device's volume, which I didn't expect. Not horrible, just a little quieter than expected. Guess I don't really have to party as hard while cleaning (lol). I went with Sony because I have lots of their headphones and their small peripherals like this just tend to be durable and last forever. I'm hoping it's an investment that will last for the next few years.

There is a lot of sound packed into this small package. Battery lasts forever, recharging is easy, and -- it floats. Durable/weather-proof and easily syncs with others.

Compact, love the strap on it to attach to lounge chairs, etc. The sound is very good and I love the bass. Sony is my favorite brand!

If used as a computer speaker or connected to your phone in a small room it is fine. In a large room it is very underpowered and the bass, while strong, doesnt trasmit beyoond the immediate area surrounding the speaker. If your looking for a loud pary speaker for a small kick back this is not the choice. If your looking for something to play music at a reasonble volume in a small space it provides excellent sound quality in that appllication.

Excellent sound for such a small speaker. Compact you can take it with you anywhere. Very easy to connect to any Bluetooth device

This speaker is perfect for my office. Exactly what I was looking for. Connects via bluetooth easily with my android and it's small enough to sit right on my desk. Small but mighty speaker.

I really like this speaker but one star off for the stupid strap structure. The sound is great and it has a long life. Instead of a neat little hook like others, this one has a weird long strap. I still recommend it though

I love the portable speaker. Great for indoors. Fabulous clear sound and banging bass. Battery life is good, too. Worth the purchase.

This was a fun purchase. I have had Bluetooth speakers before and when my last one died I decided to try this Sony because it was available immediately and at a good price point for my budget. I have not been disappointed. The sound is quite nice (disclaimer: I am not an audiophile; I just enjoy listening to music), the charge lasts quite a long time, and it is incredibly user-friendly.
